@Xavier, Wed., Jan. 31, 6:30p, FS-1

Pitino's coaching tonight was clearly sub par for a few reasons.
He decides to start Simeon Wilcher and after two quick fouls, basically benches the kid for the game. Lesson??

Started Taylor over Luis and it obviously looked as if it got into RJ's head for all the wrong reasons. Taylor has a negative presence on offense and RJ on defense. Unfortunately, tonight they both played poorly. Pitino may have had better luck playing Traore and going big.

While Dingle is slow on defense, I'm disappointed Pitino hasn't done a better job of integrating him into the backcourt. We spent significant NIL for him to be a bigger part of the offense. Last year at Iona he had Jenkins and Walt Clayton, the best backcourt he's had in a long time, but was not able to get his front line to play consistent ball.
Pitino needs to define his top 7 rotation. He clearly has not to date.

Now, as far as the players are concerned, Joel needs to start games with more cerebral intensity. He tends to lumber early and not demand the ball inside. He still tries to guard guys 20 feet from the basket and is slow to get back down low.
I'm still waiting for Taylor to have even a minimal impact as a scorer! He is the polar opposite of Luis who looks to score 90% of the time he touches the ball.

As for the Uconn game, those assuming a 20 point loss are forgetting we should have beaten them on their court.
We needs everyone to show up and be healthy.
Clearly, Luis and Alleyne are not 100%.

Praying for Brady to start hitting.

Most guys tonight were positive about him, deservedly so. A bigger concern on an offensively challenged team is the lack of solid play including D by Luis. His funk and sloppy play really is hurting the team at this point. We were all counting on him and hope he can turn this around.
Not all of us 😉

RJ had a bad game, but we’re going to need him to be good to do anything in our next 10 games.

(You probably shouldn’t post when you’re that upset. You’re like an emotional seismograph. You swing from highs to lows like a junior high drama club kid.)

Willing to bet you’re going to feel bad about some of your posts when you calm down tomorrow and start predicting how we’re going to kick UConn’s ass in the Garden…
nahhhhhhh. How much is he getting paid?

He's getting paid like a pro, he should be treated like a pro.

They don't play for their school anymore

Dude, just maybe I wouldn't be this upset if he ever passed the damn ball. If he did then just maybe I wouldn't be this upset.

It's every freaking game with this guy, maybe if he passed every once in a while then teams wouldn't leave their man. They know he won't pass, so they smile saying this is gonna be fun, come up from behind him and steal it.
I swear, i knew that guy was gonna steal it.

I wouldn't play RJ again until mid March. Sometime as a coach you gotta let certain kids know that: "it's what I say that goes, not what you want hot shot.. You don't play team ball and I freaking swear to you i'll never play you again.

Me thinks Rocks finished both 6 packs during the game :)

Likewise - great to see Johnnies, an original member of the BE, competing again.
Seton Hall sucked until Willard bought out Isiah Whitehead’s high school coach and you are now on the borderline of irrelevancy again. No one cares about South Orange, New Jersey. You, too, are apparently so bored with your own team that you feel the need to weigh in here on a game your team wasn’t even playing. Sad.

Playing like crap for 30 minutes, then crawling your way back in the last 10 minutes against a mediocre team, only to loose at the end, shows me absolutely nothing about this team's character. No silver lining in this game.
Respectfully disagree.

How much you want to bet that I'll have no regrets about any of my posts tomorrow.

If we played that defense like we did against Villanova and won tonight yeah my confidence would be sky high, I'd be saying that Saturday will be a war. This loss tonight just ripped my heart and soul right out of me so I can't say we'll kick UConn ass.

I can't say that just for the sake of saying it, I say how I feel in my heart.

Trust me, I really want us to get some big time momentum, I just don't know if this years team can.
I really want to start kicking ass, 23 long years is way to long. If we won't tonight, then Saturday's game would have been the biggest game since Barkley's last year. With the loss tonight, I'm not feeling that way.
