Yankees 2025 Season

Every time I feel like I'm warming up to Warren, he shits the bed.

Every time I feel like I'm warming up to Williams, he shits the bed.

The whole team is a bunch of pretenders. What an utterly difficult team to like.

Toronto is now tied for 1st place. The AL East is a very weak division and I do not see the Yanks winning.

They have some athletes that can put some numbers, like Judge. Goldschmidt --Bat has cooled, but he can play 1st base.

But in general...

But there are others on the team that I can't stand watching play. Grisham - Can't stand his casual outfield play, although he is talented. He's just too casual.

The Martian is now casually one-handing his catches--his not talented enough to do that.

Volpe--What the hell is going on with him. Dumb baseball in the field, on the bases,
and at the plate. He thinks he's a power hitter. A perfect reflection of his manager.

Jazz--Too much styling. Wish he took the game more seriously. Move him to 2nd.

DJ--Past his prime, but should move to 3rd until we have a 3rd basemen.

Catchers--Wells (a disappointment this season), Escarra (a serviceable back-up), Rice (Still learning, better at 1st).

Pitching--STARTERS -Fried (easily our Ace), Rodon (better this season as long as he stays sane), Schmidt (serviceable), Warren (still learning), Stroman (has shown little). Need Gil to return and give us some innings in August and September.
RELIVERS--Weaver (he'll be fine), Williams (needs more innings), Cruz (better than expected), Loaisiga (needs more innings), Hill, Leiter, Hamilton. The weakest part of the pitching staff is the use by the manager. He removes starters too soon and has a knack for putting in the cold reliever.

Manager--I've said it before, I do not lot like the way the most players play the game which is on the manager. Bad base running, fielding, lack of smart baseball. What did he do in spring training. The weak points are a recurring theme from year-to-year.

Jays are red hot night, and we are ice cold. This was not a good time to be playing them, especially up there (which we have to do again in a couple of weeks, due to a scheduling quirk).

Judge is never going to get a clutch hit again, because teams will take a page from the Jays play book, and put him on in all clutch situations, especially with what happened when they did give him the chance last night.

Cabrera was not a great player, but he had good bat-on-ball skills, and played third base well enough. He has been missed.

Tough times, right now. I wish the All-Star Break were this coming week. Team could use the time away from each other.

There are no consequences for poor judgement or poor performance by the owners. I expect the Yanks will be out of 1st place by July 4th. But guys will continue to have good swings.
My prediction was correct. Now July 3rd and the Yanks are out of 1st place.

The ship be sinking.

With Schmidt having a forearm issue (read: likely TJS), the pitching staff is screwed. This team is already not good. This will make it even worse.

HTF was this staff not able to figure out how to get Springer out? They had 4 effing games to come up with anything and they failed miserably. The mark of a horrible manager and his staff.

This will be a miserable weekend coming up with this pitching staff right now, especially the bullpen. A 9.56 ERA this series!!!!! That is not a typo.

Add in 2 for 14 with RISP tonight, and .189 in the series with RISP, while the Jays hit .405 with RISP this series. 12 more strikeouts tonight.

Please DFA Peraza. Just a terrible hitter.

Stanton is horrible.

Record against the East keeps getting worse.

Boone is a useless POS. He's made for TV, not this job. Everything he says sounds like an excuse.

Muts are getting the Yankees at just the right time.
