Yankees 2025 Season

Yanks start off tonight’s game with 3 straight solo homers!
PS fourth solo home run of first inning

Second time in Yankees history (both this year) that they've started a game with back-to-back-to-back home runs.

Grisham, Judge, and Rice do the honors.

Grisham, Judge, Rice start the game back-to-back-to-back and a belly-to-belly-to belly

And then one out later Bellinger hits one, but no belly for Belli

Only the second time in Yankees history that they hit 4 home runs in the first inning of a game.

Again, the first time was the second game of this season vs. the Brewers.

Grisham and Rice have been great stories so far this year and both need to play everyday. And they will have to figure out keeping Rice in that lineup when Stanton comes back.

Judge is beyond awesome at this point.

But, even he got bit by the fundamental bug tonight. Can't get thrown out on the bases like he did. Volpe can't boot that ground ball. Tim Hill can't walk the first two hitters of the fifth inning. And, so on and so on and so on.

How can a team with Judge having an all-time start to the season, Rice, Grisham and Goldschmidt raking, Fried pitching like an ace, Rodon being very good as well, and the bullpen being very solid (aside from Williams) be basically .500 since starting the season 6-2?

Stroman (when he was healthy), Carrascco, and Warren have not been good. They don't even give you decent length.

Rodon has had 3 great outings in a row, but if he's not great, then he's terrible.

Schmidt also has looked a bit rusty since coming back, though he was better last time.

Basically, very thin starting pitching, mostly due to injury.
