Yankees 2025 Season

Watching todays game. Second and third nobody out. Chisholm strikes out, Volpe strikes out, Wells strikes out. Can anyone put the ball in play? Put Cabrera, the guy everyone want to bench, in the five hole. At least he strikes out less. We cannot continue like this.

Also Rice is supposedly a catcher. Give him a shot. Replace Wells, another Mendoza line candidate.

similar happened a couple games in the tenth, first and third nobody out nothing.

This is a team that’s a bully, that’s what Cashman has built for last the 15 years really except 2017. Jump on a team early. If it gets tight they shit the bed.

So many wrong things took place tonight. This is such a flawed team.

1 for 9 with RISP isn't going to cut it.

I get the not wanting a pitcher to face a team the 3rd time through the lineup, and I like Hill, but go righty on righty with Carassco to Guerrero in the 6th.

The decision to go to a struggling Williams is mindboggling. Use him in a low leverage situation to try to get him right. Although I said it last week. His body language gives you the impression he wants to be anywhere but here. Postgame he had no answers.

Defensively, Grisham was far too shallow on a few hits tonight. Chisholm made one great play, but had a brain fart on a potential double play ball not getting the lead runner.

Once again horrible basreunning on 2 steals, with Chisholm caught stealing on a 3-0 pitch.

Of course, idiot Boone had no issues with any of it.

Would like to see either Leiter or Cruz get a shot at closer.

Weaver, IMO, is too valuable in his current role. I'll go with him as the closer if I have to, but I prefer him as a multi-inning (meaning four outs or more) "ace reliever." Have him face the dangerous part of the opposing lineup whenever they come up in a close game, 7th inning or later (which could be the ninth, sometimes).
