Yankees put Stroman (knee inflammation) on IL

The Yankees placed Marcus Stroman on the 15-day injured list with left knee inflammation Saturday, one day after he gave up five runs and got two outs in a rainy 9-1 loss to the Giants.

Hope Clark takes Strochit spot in the rotation.

Down 5-0 before the Yanks even bat, truly can't stand him.
Walking off the mound it was like he didn't care that he was booed, like oh well, i'm still getting my millions so boo all you want.

If Clark replaces Warren, and I'd have a screaming match with Cashman, what's he gonna do, fire me? Then go right ahead.
Gotta be blind to see that Sto is worthless or just don't care.

Well, that took care of itself. Stroman on the IL with knee inflammation.

The rest of this post are just general observations, and not directed solely at you, Rock:

For as ugly as things have looked at times, nobody is off to a great start in the division. In fact, the Yankees are in first by half a game (one in the loss column). They're only a game behind the Angels and the Tigers for the AL's best record (Texas also has one more win, but the same number of losses as the Yankees), and they've already made the Detriot road trip. The schedule in May looks super-tough, though.

When Gil is ready to pitch in games (still a ways away, obviously), I would like to see the Yankees bring him right up to the big club. He can either work out of the bullpen, or be an opener. Essentially, he would be doing his rehab at the Big-League level. The way I see it, if he's healthy, we're wasting him down there. If he's not, or if he gets hurt again, then anything he gives us beforehand is greatly appreciated

I know the Yankees won't do that, but IMO, there's no good reason not to.

Exactly you don't want a pitcher going all out right away and risking re-injury. That's why they do minor league rehabs because if the performance causes a loss at least it's not the major league team that suffers it.
 
Another stupidass loss. I'm assuming Rodon is calling his own game with the rookie Escarra catching. His choice of pitches to Lee leaves a lot to be desired.

Key error once again cost the Yamks, and the bats were quiet late.

Felt like they left a lot of runners on early.

Same old same old.
 
Rodon has allowed 36 home runs since the beginning of the 2024 season.

You will have a hard time winning when your starting pitcher can't keep the ball in the stadium. Bats were also in hibernation today. Just not good enough right now.
