Really excited about this game. Finally Big East play. And they're a great measuring stick for where we are as a team.

They are very beatable, but have guys like Olivari and McKnight that are similar to other players who have killed us so far this year.
 
That's going to be a packed house. Please keep the outside doors near the walkways open till tipoff. I don't even think I'm going to have a beer. Way to close to xmas and seeing family most likely masking up. Looking forward to losing 10 pounds during the game
 
How about this, Soriano gotta beast out in this game, that's right I want more from him, don't be satisfied with 24 & 11, how about 30 & 15.

Just gotta be determined to be Shaq like, it's all a mind set big guy.

You want to go out a winner? Then you make it happen, go out there and never be satisfied with your game stats, it's time to go beast mode every freaking game Joel, so what you got big fella??????? I hope you game.
 
Glad StJ’s is playing Xavier at Carnesecca because I believe that gives the Johnnies a better home court advantage than MSG.

Recall last season when CMA and Miller were mic’d up during the game. During time outs everyone could see how ineffective and out of touch CMA was compared to Miller.

Either way, after Wednesday's game, fan reaction will be extreme.

Win and there will be proclamations of just how good this team is and will be come February. The story line will be how it's all coming together at the right time.

Lose, and the sky will fall. We will be a horrible team, poorly constructed, with only one big east player and an over the hill coach. The story line will be how you can't lose at home to a middle of the pack Big East team.

Me? Right now, I am reasonably worried that we havent shown we can play well against mediocre to good teams, especially on defense.

Considering all the sju gear i bought as xmas gifts, i hope we win big.
 
They have a great guard we gotta stop in Olivari. They’re very similar to us TBH. They struggled defensively some games and lack consistent shooting. They have a big man whose name I don’t remember who Soriano should outplay.

Cliche but I think it comes down to keeping Olivari under control, shooting well and protecting our home court. 2 teams looking for an identity but games like these are the difference between 5th and 8th place on conference
 
The reality is this. If the Johnnies cant beat a lower level Big East team at home then there will be no Dancin this season. The only chance they have of postseason play is to hold serve at home of 80% of the league, win the games you are supposed to win on the road and spring a few upsets. I’m hopeful but at this point in time, that seems like a long shot. GO JOHNNIES.

Great idea . I think we would learn that both. Pitino and Miller are great Coaches . They know their X’s and O’s like they know the ABC’s . It would be like a Chess match .

Let me throw this out , how many of us would, at this point , take a 5 th Place BE finish and a play in game for the NCAA ?

I guess I still would but I don’t know if that will be enough considering our mediocre showing in OOC play. I guess it also depends on how the rest of the conference does throughout the season.

Still think we need Luis back to accomplish that task.
