Women Playing Rutgers

Amber just made both free throws 48-44 SJU with the same 14 seconds left.
Ladies PLEASE.

we won.
I believe this is the new coach's first major win, congrats Joey T.
A first BE win in the first BE game of the season.
We are 1-0 to start the BE Season with a road win.

Congrats Ladies and Staff.

I never saw the refs call a "do over" before but it just happened at the end of the womens' game.
SJU at the line, 2 points lead with a one on one. It looks like we may blow a 13 point lead with out three minutes left in the game. The St John's shooter had just missed a one on one seconds earlier. So, to the line...
we shoot, miss.....nobody moves, well one SJU player slides into the paint to pick up the rebound...
No one else moves.
everyone, perhaps even the person who got the ball, seems to think it was a two shot situaiton.
Rutgers clearly would have gotten the rbound the way it went off the rim if they were "aware" themselves of what was going on.
The refs don't continue play...they discuss it...talk to the two coaches...and decide to replay the one on one.
we hit two fouls this time and win by four.
nice win on the road despite the weak second half but...a heck of a weird ending.

Great road win
We seem to have Rutgers' number
Their seniors have never beaten St John's
Little break at the end allowing Amber to retake her free throw
Good start to the BE season
Aubie, any news on the recruiting front?
You recently indicated that you might have some info to share with us soon.....

Growing up in the schoolyards of Queens, "do overs" were very common

They were called "hindoos" in the 1950's and 1960's
