Where have you met Redmen . com people/

I stumbled onto this site a few years ago and only started to post recently. Thanks for putting up with me and one day I hope to meet someone. Right now it is great therapy for me.

It's always great therapy. Except of course when we lose and all the trolls come out to tell us how they saw it coming and we'll never amount to anything. Other than those maddening experiences (which thankfully only make up a very small percentage of the time), this board is great.

I only joined this board a few years ago myself. I can't believe it's been around for 15+ years and I missed it all that time.

My memory isn't great, but I remember a few times I met redmen.com members since I joined the site around 2002/2003:

-I don't remember what game it was, but Mkras gave me a ticket and I joined him for a game at Carnessecca Arena. This was during the Norm era when we were recruiting Corey Fisher and he basically came to every game before playing us. I remember Mkras pointing him out to me.

-In the 2007 Big East Tournament against Marquette, I was there by myself and I was in touch with Moose at the time so he invited me to come down to his section and hang with him and his group.

-I remember going to a Redmen.com get together at a bar near MSG, I believe it was to watch a road game we had vs. Virginia Tech. That must have been around 2005 or so.

-In 2011, a redmen.com member ( so sorry I can't remember his handle) gave me an extra ticket he had to join him at the game vs. South Florida at Carnessecca Arena (it was also Lavin Bobblehead night). After the game, there was a post game get together at one of the bars at campus, remember meeting a lot of members then also.

-Can't remember the year, but we played Duke at the Garden and Lawman sold me a pair of his extras (great seats!). Me and my fiance sat with him for the game. It was either 2005 or 2007 I can't remember.

Had the pleasure of meeting Gonzalo and his mother at a bar near MSG .They were in NYC for a visit from Spain . SJU pulled two major upsets while they were in town .

As Mike said, the two UCLA games have allowed me to meet a few posters. DustyJ, who used to be a real frequent poster and lives in the Bay Area organized a block of tickets to the first game. Ted was there, OWCA and Redmanwest I believe and others I don't remember. Oldfan came up from his seats behind the bench to say hello as well.

Then there's the one Mike is referring to. We got together for Drinks the night before, again Ted (and wife) and OWCA plus the Redstormrising/Darren version, MJMaher (and his much better half) and the young guy who's handle I don't remember. I'll try and post a pic. Then there were a number more at that game including GMan/Conor and some others. And Porgy, I remember you so F Mike, right?

I also bought a pair of tix from a poster to a Holiday Fest game when I was home a few years back. Don't remember who that was either.

It sucks getting old and Alzheimery.l

Only one guy wearing red, ban the others :yell: Seriously, nice to see members enjoy themselves, we paid the Bruins back at the Garden the next year.

I didn't make it out the night before the game. I was down south at my brothers place.

austour, can you please identify the perps? (Sad to say, I live in NYC and I've never met anyone on this board. Hope that changes when the Joe Lapchick statue is unveiled.)

We were all wearing red the next day, in fact I think I was in my Redmen.com T Shirt.

Stouts, January 2008 vs Wva.. Met mjmaher, beast, Pmg, CA, Baldi, Maven, HTGS, Wasj and, several more who were in attendance. Also Lenn Robbins from the Post. All good guys.

Met Beast of the East at a Xavier HS parents event and met Jersey Shore Johnny at halftime of a game at MSG .

I met qcredman and his son last year at Carnesseca. Both are real gentlemen, and great sports fans to chat with.

And you even helped this subway neophyte get home when the E train was out of commission for the Lapchick event. Matt105 is a really nice guy, better looking than most of you. :)
