Gman was talking about being a member here on the other thread for like 15 years.

I think the 1st time I had met redmen.com members was when we had that first party at mustang sallys maybe 13 or 14 years ago.

We had a big crew that 1st party ( maybe 40 or 50 members ) and a lot of us are real good friends now. Heck Kranmars and I have season tix together now although I knew him in college although we didnt realize who each other was until that 1st party. Now we have a whole crew of redmen friends with us in our garden section ( sect 114 in the house !!! )

Met some who I had known for a while like Austor at the UCLA game. Have met others at other away games. Met MattC for the 1st time since he started posting when he was like 10 years old at the Villonova Sly Fox trip down in Philly when he was I think a senior in college ( damn I'm getting old ) Met JSJ the 1st of many times I think at the Kentucky road trip. Have met others on trains to the garden etc etc. We go away together with Traczok and his wife to road games. Met redmennorth before a game and I'm definitely going to meet up with him next year when we go back to montreal. A lot of other times meeting members I've lost count

I think people would be stunned at the amount of people who read redmen.com who dont post who know everything about what goes on here

Heck Nathalie and I were in the city today at Gman's birthday party so if he 34 this weekend that means I've pretty much known him thru the site since he was close to 19 or 20

The site has a lot of really great people

On a side note, this could be SJU's best lacrosse seasons ever. We will be a big dog this year.

Boy...you sit next to a guy and his girlfriend at the UCLA game...and no mention!!!

Seriously, it was really great meeting you and others at that game. I just wish that the result had been different!!!

Met Mjmahermj and others for the first time at the SJU/Nova game in Philly a couple years ago when we spanked them. I think Hardy went for around 30 that day. Also ran into mj outside the Garden after last season's debacle against Pitt. Know a couple of members from the site personally. Hope to meet others this season.

Was in Huntington Village recently and had a few drinks at a bar but I can't remember the name. Anyway, a girl I was with wanted to get something to eat and they didn't serve food, so I said we'd come back after for drinks. We came back and some guy sitting down said "Get them a free round of drinks". Looking confused I thanked him and asked why he was doing such a favor for seemingly no reason. Turned out to be the owner and he said "Loyalty! You said you'd be back and you came back". Nice guy and nice place. If you throw some names out there it may ring a bell.

Nag's head in huntington ? Or katie Mc's or Mary Carrols as far as not serving food. Went to Nag's head the other day. They had an awesome pumpkin ale

BTW Totally forgot Porgyman. Was great metting you at the ucla game also. Also infrequent poster ( but redmen,.com fantasy football regular ) Patrick ended up sitting right in front of me at a garden game a couple of years ago.

That was it...Nag's head. The places up there to eat are expensive as hell though. Next time I bring a girl with me I'm sticking to my faithful south shore!

I had the pleasure of meeting quite of few Redmen (sounds better than dotcomers) at the Lapchick Statute dinner. That experience is why I am hoping that we have some type of unofficial season kickoff event.

Everything is expensive everywhere paying for 2. lol

Depends on what you are looking to spend but Ravagh Grill in huntington is cheap and real good.

Besito is reasonable. Honu is my favorite but definitely expensive

Kashi has awesome sushi happy hour deals from 4-7 at the bar if you eat early

Go to savored.com and there are a couple of restaurants in huntington where you can save up to 30% on the bill including drinks.

nag's head is a real good place.

a few come to mind immediately:
[ul]
[li]Scottsdale AZ - randomly met a guy who described himself as a reader not a poster. We were both with our sons at Crackerjack which is a combo arcade/driving range/batting cages; [/li]
[li]Boston, MA Tom in Sims (tom in salem) @ BC. Great game not only mopping the floor with BC but sitting directly behind Al Skinner (literally) and my daughter scream "Go St John's" in his ear the whole game. More than once I could see it annoying him.; [/li]
[li]Cleveland, OH OhioFan at a fabulous German restaurant; [/li]
[li] California, On several occasions I've met people in various parts of California who say that they read the site even though they are not fans; [/li]
[li]Portland, ME - Erick Barkley; [/li]
[li]The Great White North, Although I've yet to meet him in person, I feel like I've more than "met" redmannorth in all of our phone calls, email and I once even "met" him vicariously through one of my employees at the time... Any time I hear Celine Dion, I think fondly of 'north. ;) [/li]

Yes, and a fun table it was. In fact you were officially the first Redmen.com member I met that night lol.

If you ride the LIRR chances are we've met, you just don't know it yet. Neither do I. I've probably served half you degenerates.
