What's up with D'lo?

Come to think of it if Obekpa ends up playing overseas other than Amsterdam Turkey might be the best fit because the hookah is very similar to a bong so it could kind of be like the bong version of an E-Cigarette for him

D'Lo will have an amazing experience in Turkey, which was one of our finer trips. The sights are amazing in Istanbul, and we also traveled to Kusadasi Turkey, only to be blown away by Ephesus, which has more ruins than Rome and Athens combined, IMO.

Warning to D'Lo....Turkey is the home of the original fake and puts Chinatown to shame. :)

I also hope Obekpa is able to watch Midnight Express on the flight over. :woohoo:

we wanted to do Ephesus also because everyone says that place is amazing but figured between Istanbul and Capaddocia anything else would be stretching things time wise so we are definitely going to do Ephesus next time

Did you eat any wet burgers in Istanbul ? Turkish version of white castle burgers but more addictive ?

Obekpa would love those after a night of smoking

I went to Ephesus on a cruise. I thought it was good but certainly not great--although there are some pretty awesome photo opportunities. The only thing that was close to mind-blowing was visiting the place where the women make those amazing carpets...so much detail they are only able to make like 4-5 in their entire lives. That's pretty crazy.

I’m sorry that your cruising experience to Ephesus wasn’t nearly as enjoyable as mine. Possibly that was because your ship was docked in Kusadasi for about 6 hours and you probably took the ships excursion, whereby you and your wife along with 63 other passengers boarded one of their many busses and drove an hour to Ephesus, to visit the archaeological site. Upon arrival at this site, probably half the women on the bus immediately went to use the toilets. You then probably spent all of 2 hours there and upon returning to your bus, you probably had to wait another 20 minutes for the rest of the women to return from the toilets before departing for the carpet place. After you enjoyed your carpet experience, I assume you re-boarded the Coach Turkey bus and went back to the ship. The bus probably dropped you off at the port area where you were able to shop for all of 20 minutes before getting back on the ship to go to your buffet. Possibly had you spent more than 6 hours there you might have been able to have seen the Terrace Houses or the House of Virgin Mary or The Temple of Artemis or St. John Basilica or Kirazli Village or Sirince Village or Selcuk Museum or Isa Bey Mosque like we did while spending 3 glorious days there, and experiencing the WOW factor. Not to mention the night life, dining experiences and the beaches because your time there was so limited.
