What constitutes this season as a success?

It feels like we are on the verge of an at large invitation to the tourney. D Lo is getting healthy as is Obekpa. Dom is playing on another level. Phil Greene's jump shot has been pretty consistent (outside of the last game). We obviously have some big games coming up to wrap up the regular season, but how far do we go to call this season a success? I think we have the talent and maturity to get to the sweet 16. After that, i think we are playing with house money. Any other thoughts?

It's already a success.
When Thomas went down, this wasn't even a .500 team.
They've surpassed last year's team with less talent.
Great job by everyone involved.

Can't say it's already a success. That's ludicrous. I'm thinking a sweet 16 will be a success. Anything after that is gravy.

If this team makes it to the sweet sixteen.. and it could.. there are posters whose heads are going to explode from frustration.

Yet another reason to root for it!

Let's just get into the tournament first. Baby steps. Than maybe win a few games in the Big East. You tell me that right now and I'm signing up.

D deserves to be in the tourney after what he has given us. That to me is success.

Make the tourney, great late recruit class and go to a first and 2nd round venue that's not going to kill me on airfare

If we got past that then I won't complain about airfare cost

To some it will be a success if coach gets fires, but don't worry they will still say they are rooting for the team to win.

Amar is a little old, 18, but it isn't out of the question for him to be invited to a sweet 16.

Sweet 16 in order to be a success? Of what ? The Big East Tournament?

Why does it seem like that's the case? Why can't everyone just be happy and root for the success of the team? Tom in Salem hit the nail on the head, after we lost Thomas and De La Rosa, most gave this team no shot this season. Are people getting greedy now? This has been as fun of a season as I can remember in years. Sure there have been setbacks, but c'mon, enjoy the ride!

With our depth and height along with a future Hall of Fame coach nothing less than meeting Kentucky in the final will do!
And even then, Lavin should be fired because he failed to sign Isiah Briscoe and signed Adonis De La Rosa against the CTK coach's wishes. Plus, it doesn't matter who he is recruiting or who he signs because he doesn't wear ties any longer and failed to make eye contact with the Maven as he was leaving Campagnola at 11 pm when he should have been in bed and besides he should not have married a beautiful young actress who temps our virginal players with sensual yoga movements. All this drama will be resolved when St. John's hires any coach named Hurley or Cluess who will then recruit Rawle Alkins who would then verbal to St. John's because the new coaches came to visit him at IMG and besides, he wanted to play with his best buddy Adonis but Lavin refused to watch him play, even on YouTube.

nice work :)

Knocking off a big name in the tournament when we aren't expected to, and the kids get to bask in the glory that has mostly eluded them for four years..
