were there recruits at the game?

A blowout of this magnitude in front of a seemingly , Syracuse home court could have an adverse effect on the recruitment of those kids..... Especially if Syracuse is involved with either of them..... All in all a bad day.

Cuse fan here. We are not involved with Galan but McCullough is one of our main targets in 2014. Doubt today matters too much in the end.

Lets be real. One day/night does not determine where you go to college. We got all those kids last year to commit and the only ones I recall that visited before they committed were Pelle and Amir. The rest committed before even seeing a game.

Have to disagree. While they may have committed, did they all sign? And many lauded the coaching staff for the great job they did with last years group. Don't be naive enough to believe that a horrendous showing like today may not have an effect on a recruits decision. Let's hope not.

Moose is right. One bad day and/or game isn't gonna determine where these kids go to college. Some of you have a quick-fingered trigger as soon as something goes, seems or looks bad. I was gonna mention about Pelle and Garrett and the others. But, you did it for me, Moose.

Oh really?God's Gift signed in the fall, and Amir as well? You had better check your facts, not sure you are right on that one...... But nice try yourself.

There are a lot of games between today and when a 2014 recruit signs. Many of the players in todays game wont even be teammates of MCcllough. There are going to be many more games at the Garden that he can see and i am pretty sure alot of them will be sju wins.

We are talking two different things. Greene verballed in January, actually might have been a game I think, Gift in the spring once season was over. Don't recall Gift at a game.

Pelle and Amir went to an 'exhibition game' at CA and soon verballed and signed. Yes Amir signed in the fall. The others verballed and signed without having attended a game. Thats what I'm talking about.

More important issue is playing time, national exposure and style of play.

Much stuff goes into getting kids to come. We play 5 freshmen and a juco. I don't think todays game is in the category of horrendous. In fact the coaching staff can be lauded just as much this year as last. Don't sell perspective recruits short, they know whats going on. 0-18 in BE play would be horrendous, and that ain't happening. What is going to happen is one day soon Jimmy B. is going to retire. Syracuse will be lacking any identity as a ACC school, and good players will no longer flock there. And that's the truth.

Fwiw, there is another top 120 forward we're heavily involved with that hasn't been brought to light yet. I've also heard the "mystery shooter" transfer still in play. Should be an interesting spring.

Is the mystery shooter the really really smart guy ? :)

I don't think he needs to be "Qualitized".

Its 2012 right now. Those guys have several years before even coming close to a decision. Today's game is irrelevant on who they will choose
