Werdann and Hamilton

Both MCAA I think.

Correct.

And Zendon's game was at Alumni Hall, and he hit the deck about 15 times. I sat behind Lopez's family and they were going nuts.

Best part of the game was Lopez, Hamilton, Reid, Greer, and I believe Foyle in at the same time in the second half. They looked so smooth together.

Was at that game sitting close to court. Most imposing physical specimen was power forward who went to Georgia Tech. Forget his name but he was a man amongst boys in terms of shear size.

I thought Z was incredibly frustrating to watch. I have not seen a player before or since who was as awkwardly efficient as he was. His double pump shoulder shots were uglier than Lee Green's jumper.

He seemed to have regressed after his Freshman year. I attributed somewhat to poor coaching. Have no idea what kind of work ethic Z had.

I had that particular game recorded on VHS. I don't know what happened to that tape.

I believe you're thinking about Danny Fortson. He attended Cincy.

EDIT: Jelani Gardner and omm'A Givens started out their careers at UCLA before transferring to Pepperdine. Chris Herren was at Boston College before heading out west to Fresno State. Willie Mitchell started out at Michigan before heading to UAB. Neil Reed was Bobby Knight's whipping boy (I recall the tape where Knight went "Bobby Knight" on Reed) before heading to Southern Miss.

I stand corrected. It was Forston. Thanks. Tech had another kid similar in size/position to him.

You're welcome!

By the way, I didn't realize Neil Reed died a year ago.

Very sad. So young. Think I may have been thinking of James Forrest of Tech.

Forrest was a McDonald's A-A back in '91. He was well-built, so he's probably the one you were thinking about in your recent post.
