Well Jeff Borzello Likes the Johnnies

It’s uncanny that before a Season that looks like possibly our best in maybe the last 20 or so Years that , the Mullin Coaching Ability issue continues to surface . This despite several off Season accomplishmemts that have likely doubled the talent level from 3 Quality Players to 6 or 7 and a decent caliber of good players from 7-10 , much more ability than last year . And , Hurley didn’t get Heron despite him being a Waterbury Local . He could have transferred anywhere on the East Coast but, choose our Program and Coach . Ditto Figueroa as a Juco AA . Having Dixon and Keita ready to play plus Trimble finally gives us a Roster with BE depth . I do think much of the commentary regarding Mullin might emanate from Scribes who edit this site and JJ and read the negative commentary that often dominates many posts from a 1/2 dozen or so constant users . It seems some don’t factor in the reality of last Season’s team of 3 Quality Players who beat a full squad of the National Champion Wildcats , minus Injured Paschall who still suited up 4 First round NBA picks . And ,how badly was Mullin outcoached by Coach K in our win over Number 4 Duke with 3 NBA first rounders ? Might we let this season start and get behind this Team that could win the BE regular Season title . Let the games begin and we will see .

It was 3 first round picks, and Phil Booth also didn't play that night. How come you always mention the games versus Villavnova and Duke? I expect to compete with those schools. I didn't expect to beat either one last season, considering how we were playing, but I expect to compete with 'em, nonethless. We're not Wofford. You try to sway the audience with BS and manipulation.

Besides those two games against Villanova and Duke, respectively.... What about the other games on the schedule? I thought a season was viewed as a whole and not in a vacuum.

Sly, frankly the questioning of Chris' coaching acumen is completely understandable given his total lack of experience in that regard. As a not unbiased fan of the program and our coach, I have seen definite improvement from year to year, but I will tell you other BE team fans question whether he can coach our guys to success. I think he can and will do so, but we should all agree this is the year we need to succeed.

You never know how a recruit will develope. I could be wrong but I do not think anyone would have predicted looking at him coming out of Hs and his freshmen yr in college would develope into the best NBA player of all time Just saying you never know

Villanova had 3 first round picks, ignoramus.

Earlier this week, Villanova head coach Jay Wright made a succinct statement.

"We won (in 2017-18) because we had talented guys," said Wright. "I think that's been very clear as our guys went through this process."

On Thursday night a group of pivotal players from the Wildcats' 2018 NCAA national championship team heard their names called at the 2018 National Basketball Association Draft here at Barclays Center.

Julius Erving Award winner Mikal Bridges (Malvern, Pa.) was a lottery selection, chosen 10th by the Philadelphia 76ers, and was later traded to the Phoenix Sun.

2018 NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player Donte DiVincenzo was also selected in the first round, taken with the 17th overall pick by Milwaukee Bucks.

BIG EAST Freshman of the Year Omari Spellman went to the Atlanta Hawks with the 30th overall selection.

Consensus National Player of the Year Jalen Brunson was chosen by the Dallas Mavericks with the 33rd overall selection in the second round.

What was that again, stupid?

Who said those wasn't quality wins? I don't recall no one saying anything about those two wins not being quality. I only said, how come those are the only games that you mention? Those are outliers, as one poster mentioned. There were many other games on the schedule, ya know? You can't mention those games and exclude the others. That's disingenious and viewing things in a vacuum. But I wouldn't expect less from a clown like you.

No matter how you and Dink want to spin this discussion, Villanova had 4 players drafted. They won consecutive national championships. They are everything Kentucky dreams of being every year but never accomplishes the winning of championships part because Calipari assembles an all-star team and develops no one. He runs the biggest scam in college basketball because the NCAA is afraid to look under the rugs in the 5 star basketball dorms.

I am flabbergasted that you apparently thought you did adequate research to again come up with a totally factually incorrect assertion and then wag your finger about it. Incomprehensible, even if your overall opinion that you were trying to communicate was reasonable if flawed.
