Welcome to St John’s, Joson Sanon!

Big fan of this pickup, just like when luis came. Multiple years left and he has shown his skills aleady especially the last 5 games of the season averaging 18 points. And he wants to learn under pitino??? Yes!

There are similarities. But Sanon was a top 25 recruit last year, some had him projected as a 1st rounder in the 2025 NBA draft. He shot 50% from 3 before he injured his ankle at the beginning of the Big 12 season (out for 5 games), and his shooting wasn't the same. I hope he has a great and goes onto the NBA after he wins the National Championship.

Yea I meant similar as in multiple years after transferring to us. Luis was a 3 star that improved amazingly under pitino vs him being a 5 star and hearing how he wants to learn under pitino makes me very happy.

6'4" without shoes at the Nike Elite camp last summer.😂
I doubt this would happen but they (Sim and Sanon) could play guard together. You don’t really need to designate a point guard. Then everyone could switch on defense since they are both big. Sim just needs more strength and a tighter handle.

That’s another reason why we will miss Kadary. He read the game beautifully and called or pointed the switches. A true basketball savant.

I fear for a smaller point guard after seeing Deivon switching onto a 5.

Welcome Joson. Success breeds success. Coming off a 31-5 season where two of our best plsyers radically improved under Pitino, and became nationally known figures.

Who wouldn't want to study under Pitino? Right now SJU is the Harvard of college basketball, where even the very best college players are aware just one coach above all others can help them elevate their games.

Throw in the bright lights of NYC and MSG and the best days for us are ahead. Macy's front window.

And yes, heavily bankrolled Pitino can shop at Tiffany's for not only the best players but the ones who fit in all ways.

Rinse, wash, Repole.
