Welcome Deivon Smith!

If Omier has NBA dreams, playing for Pitino and having a guy like Deivon feed him the ball, is the best position he could put himself in. Hopefully he's thinking about his long-term interests over $hort-term

Edit: made this post before seeing the news

He committed to Baylor yesterday

You can't win at this level without a top notch point guard
We just got one of the best
Add Kadary and a solid PF and we're right in the mix to be in the upper echelon of the league next season
Great job by the coaching staff for putting together another highly competitive roster
This is going to be a fun team to watch next season

hey i wouldnt mind if dingle and ledlum comes back honestly to fill out this roster. But so far this team on paper is much better built then last year and last year was FUN.
last year was a rush job that by the season was done we had a nice team. Good job coach.

Was told the issue with other schools not accepting him had to do with state schools not accepting some of his transfer credits not his academic record.
This is a reality that any transfer Student faces , not just Athletes.

It’s a situation that surfaces more than we know in the public domain.

One of our Granddaughters , who is a ND Grad , cum laude , was thinking of applying to St John’s School of Pharmacy . She was a Neuroscience Major but , was advised by one of the Assistant Deans , that she would need to take a additional Organic Chemistry Class before filing her Application . It wasn’t her Transcript wasn’t a good one , just that she would need that additional Course.

As things turned out , she went in a different direction and will be going to Medical School soon

As Bama pointed out , sometimes it’s not the Student’s Transcripts that are faulty but, rather the pre requisites might not just match up from one school to another .

The other thing here is that St John’s Academics in many of the Undergraduate as well as , Graduate Programs are not easy to get accepted into and the University has made significant strides in uplifting the overall standing of the School

Congrats on the acceptance of your granddaughter to grad school.

My daughter got lucky that due to some courses she took in high school that were accepted for college credits and the courses she took at St. John’s, when she transferred after her sophomore year, she lost at most a “minimal” amount of credits and took a regular class load to graduate on time (and get her masters a year later as she was accepted into their accelerated Master’s Program).
