Welcome Cameron Mack

Cam Mack tells me was also being recruited by Washington State, Gonzaga, Texas Tech, Texas, Utah, Missouri. Visited Washington State. Loved idea of playing in NYC and at Garden. #sjubb
Big reason why we have to continue playing at MSG.

As noted here by a few guys;

One last point on Cam Mack. Said LJ Figueroa made him really look hard at St. John's. Two are friends. #sjubb

Great news. Always good to add a new player. I don’t follow Junior College but was fascinated to see how many schools play in JC Division 1. Really hard to tell what his numbers mean without understanding the level of competition. I had read that he initially signed with Hutchinson where Ahmed played.

Good News! Everyone on here should be feeling good for a change! Go Redmen!Wins and Recruits! Nothing better!

not surprising how these player connections have impact on decisions

Mack & Figueroa
Clark & Trimble
Keita & Wright
Caraher & likely Steere
Ponds & Heron I'm sure connected as well

I asked new St. John's commit Cam Mack @Camiscute2 what the fans can expect from him...@Camiscute2 said, "Winning and getting people involved scoring [wise]."

Also asked what he will focus on in terms of his game and he said his jumper.

Excellent news!!!! We continue to add pieces to the puzzle. The level of talent has increased tremendously in 3 years of recruiting. I discount the first year as we started late and staff was in a tough position. If we can land Steere that would be an outstanding start to next years class!!!! Lets get a win tonight!!! Let go REDMEN.

Excellent news!!! If we can get Steere now we have Wright , Caraher, Mack and Steere for next season. Suddenly, the recruiting doesn’t seem so bad for this class

In play, subject to having a winning season seems common view.
are we still in recruiting Kofi and Achiuwa?
When they get Steere, suspect they won’t chase Kofi. Precious is another story.

Add Cam to LJ, Dixon, Wright and maybe Simon back and we might not take as huge hit as it seems. If we can land Precious, we just re-load. A few SJU guards like ponds and Heron getting drafted can only help our recruiting overall. Mullin runs one of the most guard-friendly offenses in the country. I can’t see a good guard or wing who wouldn’t want to play this type of style...

I’m fine with Steere and foregoing Kofi if it must be. Steere and Keita are both big, athletic guys and more than enough at center for us and our style. I sense that in general, Mullin likes the 6’9-6’10 centers who are more mobile and in the big PF style with a little range anyway.
