Welcome Back Bashir

Bashir has all of the tools to be an NBA player. Now he needs to show them on the court.

I went to Sears and bought all the tools to build a house. It doesn't make me a carpenter though.

No but it makes you a tool shopaholic. ;)
You could have stopped at tool. ;) :) Just kidding Beast, that one was a beach ball on a tee. Who loves ya, baby? (Kojak) B)

You can laugh now but he will play in the NBA.

If not a carpenter, it does make you a "Craftsman" though
(For those non- Sears shoppers = Sears brand of tools)
And well at least I hope you went to a Sears branch having a "Going out of business"
sale...
Or buy one get one - which to speed up our recovery from decades of disaster - should be implemented with St.Johns' recruiting
:silly:

That may or may not be; personally I couldn't care less and don't understand really why anyone would but that's on me; I only care about how he plays for SJU.

We all hope for some level of professional play for our players but Bashir is at that basted height of around 6'6 and while he has the shooting range to play the 2 his ball handling and passing are a work in progress.
I will say that our Bronx kids of Sid and Amhed will be exiting to watch in a running game along with Owens, Lovett and Ponds.

Andrew, hope you are right. Any kid from SJU who makes the NBA definitely helps us recruit.

Yeah we couldn't keep the recruits away since Harkless made the league. And Sampson, wow, Kentucky, Duke and Kansas were just shaking at the sight of SJU. Take your nonsense elsewhere; I respect your opinion but no need to bust my chops because I have a different one.

How was he busting your chops? By including your response in his reply? Sensitive much? That's on you too.

"Buy one, get one" -- Isn't that the way a lot of big-time and wanna-be-big-time programs fill out their rosters? Prefer we steer clear of that ... especially since when we did buy one, it turned out to be Abe Keita. ;)

You are a total idiot, do you know that? Everyone knows that every single high level D1 recruit wants to choose a school that will be the best route for them to get to the NBA - except you - because you assert that all you care about is how they perform at SJU. Of course, yours is the only opinion that counts here, and you always make sure to assert that everyone else is wrong or stupid.

For all your horseshit, there are many of us that actually care about what happens to kids when they leave SJU. Whether they go to HArvard for grad school like Achiuwa (awesome!), pharmacy school like Minlend (awesome), law school like John Farmer (awesome!) Wall Street like Frankie Gilroy (hardest working student I saw), or the NBA like Mullin, Artest, Sealy, Lopez, Johnson, and a slew of others. For athletes, that is the Holy Grail,. and if you don't think that type of success breeds success, then you are either in denial as a bitter old man, or the idiot you appear to be. For those athletes, I think it's great, and there is no question that players in the NBA, or MLB (Panek, Franco, Viola come to mind) it all improves the profile of the university and the athletic programs from which they come.
