Welcome Back Bashir

To the surprise of no one.... Bashir will officially return.

Was going to post Rothstein's tweet, but you beat me to it.

Ah, what the heck? I'll do it anyway.

Bashir Ahmed is expected to return to St. John's next season, per a source. Entered 2017 NBA Draft without an agent. #SJUBB

Honestly I hope he figures out that to be a better player he needs to be under control and maybe do a little less. I fear he goes the other way and is even more out of control.

I usually see something breaking, count to 5 and look to see if Paultz has posted. He's the man. :)

Completely forget he entered the draft. That certainly would have put a damper on our 48 hours of newfound depth if he decided to leave.

Good chance he will be better this year. Mullin seems to have no problem pulling him and, if so, there are guys to absorb his minutes.

Bottom line, we are better with Ahmed. I think he gets it this year.

Then Mullin has to continue to sit his ass until the light bulb goes off.

He now has two players that can be plugged in that spot (Simon and Wilson) which should motivate Bashir to listen to Mullin.

Not that he won't return but where do you get "officially" from "expected"? Are you the one stating he will officially return? ;) :)

LOL. It doesn't use the word "expected" either. Just says "return to school".

Sorry Bama. I am a little slow today in Johnny euphoria. I get your point now. Yes he is "expected" to withdraw and return. My guess is this has been and is a formality. But in reading his post, yes I could say not "officially". Let's be honest I don't think the Celtics will be losing sleep when "official".

Glad he will be on team next year. BH is raw aggressive talent that needs to be channeled somehow.

Bashir has all of the tools to be an NBA player. Now he needs to show them on the court.

Teach him how to shoot when he drives to the basket , he throws rocks now or maybe find the open man.
I think that is because a lot of times on drives he shoots the ball on the way down. He needs to try to go over the top and if there is a defender there trying to block the show he can at least maybe draw a foul. Maybe this is because he may not be a good running leaper ala Ed Searcy who could jump to the moon from a stand still position but was not a very good jumper on the move. Just my theory.
