Honestly I'd be fine with Georgetown, Providence, or Xavier (the three teams we could face). Butler and Nova are the only two who scare me.

Id like butler at the garden with Rysheed. Hoping we face them in the 4/5. Would rather avoid providence I think.

I know there's always the danger of having to beat a team a 3rd time in a row, but definitely give me the Friars over Butler.

We got beat bad at their place no doubt. We also got beat bad at gtown. Remember the first game against them we were without Rysheed and at carnesecca. That was a one or two possession game and dunham went 6-7 from 3. Were playing much better, they are banged up.

I could see us playing our best game against providence and still losing. If we play our best game against butler I dont think they can beat us.

I'm not sure why, but I'd rather play Butler too. I feel that if we play our game, we can beat them. Also, I'm afraid of the revenge factor if we have to face PC again.

When we can't buy a basket, whether it be Georgetown, Nova, or Butler, it hardly matters who we play. We should have beaten Butler at CA, and I thought at the time that may be the game that comes back to haunt us - and it still may.

If we brought our A game to any of the Big East contests we lost, I believe the outcome could have been different. There are no world beaters this year in the Big East.

It all depends on if we win or lose at Marquette.

We have the tie breaker with PC from going 2-0 but what is the tie breaker with Gtown? Could be record against the best team?

Here are the scenarios I've come up with:

1. Butler, PC, Gtown, SJU all finish 11-7; PC gets the 2 seed, SJU 3 seed, Gtown Butler get the 4/5

2. PC, Gtown, SJU all finish 10-8 or 11-7; SJU gets 3 seed, PC/Gtown play in the 4/5

3. Gtown, SJU, Butler all finish 11-7; Gtown is the 3 seed, butler 4, SJU 5

4. The tiebreaker between SJU and Gtown is complicated, but probably doesn't matter because it would in all likelihood be to break the 4/5 seed tie. But, if SJU loses to Nova then Gtown wins tiebreaker. If we beat Nova then it depends on who finishes in the 2 seed.

Another tidbit: If PC wins out (@SHU and home vs. Butler on senior day) then they are the 2 seed, no questions asked.

A matchup with Butler looks possible at this point. They have games vs Georgetown and on the road vs Providence. They've already lost to both teams this year. Georgetown and Providence also have a game left vs Seton Hall.
