@Villanova, Wed., Feb. 12 , 6p, FS-1

We will need to shut down Ashworth’s 3’s like we did with Ball.

And , disrupt him getting the ball into Kalkenbrenner .

In this game , maybe Pitino decides to wear him down jist by throwing Prey and Vince at him , in addition to Zuby .

If we can get up and down the Court , the Blue Jays will wear down .
They don’t foul much so , when we do get to the line , make’em!
Ashworth has been very good lately and obviously made some big plays against us last game. That said, our pressure caused ten turnovers on his part as I recall. As you noted keep the pressure up on him. In meantime, beat Nova away, certainly not a “gimme”

John McGriff -- 73
Kyle Lowry -- 63

Just think the team is not going to underestimate them or look ahead. Similar dynamic to Georgetown, they've felt/seen Nova almost beat them at home. They want to win every game and want the regular season title.

It would be an exaggeration to say I'm "nervous" about DePaul, but that's a game I can see our team completely overlooking. Seton Hall, I'm only nervous about their team trying to injure ours. We narrowly escaped Butler, and I expect to throttle them for 35 minutes.

lol this would be something... 40 pt beatdown at their place...

The W at MSG was a lot closer than the double digit win would suggest...

I have yet to predict a loss in any game thus far... but I just have a feeling we drop a game we are supposed to win in this last month... Not gonna be Seton Hall... DePaul/Butler/Nova... all away games... coming off an incredible High of those two wins last week/top10 ranking... I'm gonna pick this one at Nova to be the L... and i think it will be a good thing- the boys hate losing, and will rebound with a decisive 10pt victory over Creighton at MSG.

75-69 Nova. Prove me wrong fellas
You've been a St. John's fan for too long (as have I). We're used to losing. It's time to get used to winning.

There's a new Sheriff in town and CRP is telling this team to win out! ;)

Their easy schedule does include St. John's, so instead of the final game against Marquette determining the BE title, it might be this upcoming game against Creighton.
Begs the question who do we root for on Tuesday? Uconn or Creighton. I think for metrics purposes need UConn to get another big win to get their rankings up and make the two wins over them more valuable. Also establishes a BE season champ buffer.

I had to look this up because it's been so long since we've been this good and I didn't know how it worked, but if we end up tied with Creighton at the end of the regular season, we'd share the title.

Another Trap Game. Top 10 ranking and rematch with our only loss this weekend.

I think we matchup very well against Nova but it is still Nova at Home.

Al LoBalbo - 71
Show Him the Ring Rollie - 66

I am rooting for Creighton. I want 1st place on the line on Sunday. Its going to be an epic battle for 1st place at MSG!

Rooting for Yukon is like getting a digital prostate exam. Uncomfortable as all hell but needs to be done.🤪
The old DRE (digital rectal exam), the last time, dropped trow, when I went to pull the pants up again, the wallet had fallen out onto the floor near the table i leaned on. I swear, the doctor who has a sense of humor, says to me when he sees the wallet, "I thought that was my tip!"

That is what rooting for Yukon is like.

Few points regarding this game...Villanova played yesterday, shot 50% from the floor and 50% from three...because Xavier's defense was HORRIFIC. The 2nd half was matador defense or non existent. Dixon had two points at the break and then had 22 in the 2nd half. They left guys wide open all day. That shouldn't happen with St. John's defensive principals. My first point is that they played yesterday. They'll have two days to get ready for St. John's, while SJU last played on Friday. Saturday was an off-day and so while Nova was playing yesterday afternoon, Johnnies were already in the gym getting ready.

And...Kyle Neptune vs Rick Pitino....advantage us.
