@Villanova, Wed., Feb. 12 , 6p, FS-1

It’s time to embrace the reality—this team is for real. Rick Pitino has built a squad that doesn’t just compete; they dominate. We saw it when they walked into Gampel Pavilion and took down UConn, snapping their 17-game home winning streak. Now, we set our sights on Villanova’s Finneran Pavilion, another so-called “hostile environment” that’s about to get a reality check.

Villanova has history, sure. But history doesn’t win games. Talent, toughness, and execution do. And St. John’s has all three in abundance. Kadary Richmond is a matchup nightmare, RJ Luis is playing like an All-Big East performer, and Pitino has this defense locking teams down like it’s the Louie years all over again.

Let’s talk about Villanova for a second—this is not the same dominant program we feared in years past. They’re inconsistent, their defense is shaky, and they simply don’t have the firepower to keep up with us for 40 minutes. Eric Dixon can score, but let’s see how he handles a relentless, physical defense that makes every possession a war.

St. John’s is going into Finneran Pavilion and making a statement—again. The Big East isn’t Villanova’s league anymore. It belongs to us now. Just like we silenced Gampel, we’re going to quiet another gym full of doubters.

Final Score Prediction:
St. John’s 78, Villanova 67.

Let’s go
Red Storm!

The first contest was a war and Deivon earned the red star. Game was nip and tuck, back and forth until the very end and was a lot closer than the final score would indicate.

Didn't catch a break over the weekend as the Xavier win keeps their post season hopes alive and will have them extremely motivated to play a top 10 opponent on campus. The ultimate trap game for us sandwiched between 2 ranked opponents and the likely battle for first place on Sunday. Hopefully a late arriving crowd to the ridiculously early 600 pm start will help us get out of the gate quickly:

Nova lox - 69
Bagel and Schmear - 66

Hasn’t scored more than 18 in his last 3 games.

Here’s his numbers in conference, which are great but are down across the board
22.1 pts
4.6 Rebs
39% from 3
4.6 rebounds is horrific. He’d help his team more getting them some more possessions on the glass than shooting so much from deep. They have other shooters.

If Zuby was averaging 5 rebounds we’d have 8-10 losses.

We will need to shut down Ashworth’s 3’s like we did with Ball.

And , disrupt him getting the ball into Kalkenbrenner .

In this game , maybe Pitino decides to wear him down jist by throwing Prey and Vince at him , in addition to Zuby .

If we can get up and down the Court , the Blue Jays will wear down .
They don’t foul much so , when we do get to the line , make’em!

lol this would be something... 40 pt beatdown at their place...

The W at MSG was a lot closer than the double digit win would suggest...

I have yet to predict a loss in any game thus far... but I just have a feeling we drop a game we are supposed to win in this last month... Not gonna be Seton Hall... DePaul/Butler/Nova... all away games... coming off an incredible High of those two wins last week/top10 ranking... I'm gonna pick this one at Nova to be the L... and i think it will be a good thing- the boys hate losing, and will rebound with a decisive 10pt victory over Creighton at MSG.

75-69 Nova. Prove me wrong fellas

We will press this game. Pick him up at least 3/4 court most of the game. Run him off more screens when we are in offense as well.
