Not making them does not equal a bad shot it means he didn’t make them. He needs to make some.

Absolutely it does. He can’t shoot. He should pass them up, or drive to the basket and pull up. That’s his game. Shooting 3s without the demonstrated ability to make them is poor shot selection.
