Soriano in todays NY Post

We’re ready,” Soriano said. “I like the way we’ve been practicing, the way we’ve been playing games. I feel like we’re pretty much ready. I like how we handled the UConn game. We could’ve done the little things differently, even though I feel like we should’ve won that game.

I was sitting in the pavilion extremely quiet and respectful like this….

UNTIL that Dunlap corner 3 late. Idk what the score was. I think we were up 7. That three was the dagger.

I stood up and pounded my chest like a madman, screaming…

The nova fans started clearing out in a hurry

WHAT A DAY!!!

So I guess this means when teams start planning for us they're gonna hafta include Brady in the discussion. It's not gonna be like Matta when he told them to keep on #44, It's gonna be keep on Dunlap. :)

We broke the schneid at Finneran next is Omaha and then Newark.:)(y)
with a pitstop beatdown at MSG first

Agree he still goes for some fakes but his angles are definitely much better
Let me in on what Johnnies defender doesn’t go for fakes? For that matter, pretty much any player on any team? One of the reasons (other than having kids and needing to seriously kick up the $) I got out of coaching was my frustration in trying to teach kids you do not defend the ball, you defend the man.
Rarely do I watch a game anymore where I see less than 7 or 8 examples of a player playing textbook defense, forcing an extremely low % shot, only to see the offense bailed out by trying to slap steal the ball or block the shot. I could have put my fist through the TV watching Jenkins fouling while trying to block Dixon’s 3 pointer up double digits with 2 minutes or so left. But we could write a book on the dumb plays down the stretch.
BUTTTTT, big, big win and move on!!!!

I can't remember the last time I saw any team go in to a hostile environment against a very good team and hold the lead from start to finish
True, except not sure how good nova is. They seem fairly ordinary. But that could've been due to our intensity.

What a fantastic win! Convincing from the opening tap. Dunlap again with a nice effort today, Soriano his usual solid self, and very level emotion from the team today. They never let Villanova get into a mode where they could have felt like the game was turning. Outstanding job by Coach Pitino and staff in having this team ready to play, and terrific job by the players in making it happen. Defining moment was the Ejiofor rejection in the first half - I think that let Villanova know - Not Today.
