UPDATES IN PROGRESS - bear with me

Hate to burden you with another issue, but about 95% of the time I'm required to sign in when logging on to the site. Any suggestion? Thanks.

The primary culprit for this is a cookie. This server like just about every other server uses cookies which are tiny text files that reside on the browser on your computer / device. This is how a website recognizes you. Sometimes people have "security" software that blocks or otherwise does things to cookies. So if you have software that requires you to manually approve storing cookies locally, and at some point in the past you denied approval this could be a problem. Sometimes a computer is infected with malware or other problems that affect it. Sometimes there is just a setting somewhere in a browser. Removing all redmen.com cookies might help.

I've posted in the past on how to remove all the redmen.com cookies from your browser. It's in the Help Forum. I'm swamped today otherwise I'd look it up for you.

Can't thank you enough for your time and help. Thanks, thanks again.

Not sure if this is a cliche or the thread is locked but I tried to put something in the Aundre Hyatt thread however i get an error message saying I need to put something in the subject line which comes up blank. The subject line won't let me put anything in there.

I believe this is fixed. Try again please.

Hi Paul,

Have to ever considered testing a removal of the "Quote" option for replies?

Some of these replies are taking up so much space to go through because of the carryover of previous replies.

Most of tome you can't even tell who a poster is replying to, or sometimes the reply isn't directly at the post being quoted or just tired of scrolling, just to read a three word reply etc.

Thanks for all the efforts !!!

All true but then without the quote function it will be a stream of random thoughts.

Even with the "quote" function many posts are a stream of random thoughts.
Miss you as a moderator Moose! At least you didn't abuse your editorial powers.

Yes. Currently running a development version of the forum software. It was updated yesterday but still a dev version. What has disappeared?

The Karma field is missing.

I don't care about the Karma field as it seems to be weponized by a couple of posters anyway but innocuous posts are deleted by someone or perhaps it's a glitch while in development mode.

There should be no missing posts but if there are send me a note so I can investigate.

As far as moderation, for the record, I do not consider wasting everyone's time taking shots at the Moderators innocuous especially repeated over and over again. You are not a victim. Moderators are volunteers. Major douche maneuver to be giving them a hard time. Nothing wrong with opinions and again that is not what anything is about wrt moderation. For someone that spends as much time here as you do maybe a little effort to make it a better environment?

I'm not a baby sitter but if you or anyone else feels you've been treated unfairly. Contact me directly instead of the goading and innuendos. Don't waste my time with petty nonsense but if it is a real problem and you believe you were mistreated, I'm here for anyone and everyone. Otherwise keep if off the board.

I actually appreciate the time and effort that the mods take considering they have careers and family to take care of while some of us retirees merely visit your Forum as a pastime. When I worked I never had the time for fan sites but some of us now likely visit much too often. While we are happy to give your site "hits" I am sure we don't want to give you fits. I agree with you when you say "Nothing wrong with opinions and again that is not what anything is about wrt moderation". Unless someone is quoting historical facts, everything expressed on your site is an "opinion". All opinions are biased, especially when it comes to sports. Personalizing someone's opinion is the "petty nonsense" and a waste of time.
I will gladly PM you with any issues and you can do the same.
