turnovers, the charges, the "in too deep", the fouls. but he has real talent and shows some "attitude" that can make him the leader in a year or so.

I'm not trying to be funny, what league is Sanchez a candidate for? He was better when he was our Version of a Yeti.
 
Until Lavin is gone we will not compete at this level. We get out coached every game. We are going to let one guy beat us. Our offense is comical, just stand around until someone chucks up a wild shot.

This is college bball, not the NBA, the coach is the coach AND General Manager. It is the coach's fault for in game decisions, as well as practices, player development, and recruiting. Lavin is at fault because we have zero players who can shoot. Both shooting "studs" he has touted the last 2 years (Bourgault and Hooepr) are awful and don't even hit wide open 3s. Everything that is wrong with this team is his fault because he is in charge. The issues today are not a one game thing, they happen every game. People on this board believe to be a fan you have to be positive and approve of everything. If people want to support Lavin thats fine, I would rather not watch our program be embarrassed further.

I was also very anti-Norm and wanted him fired 3 years before he did, but just remember, Lavin has only won here with Norm's kids.

well i agree, this is lavin's fault for recruiting these kids...but i said his COACHING is not at fault today. We've had open and good shots all game...we haven't hit a thing.

Sorry I got ahead of myself. I knew what you meant, that tonight itself wasn't his coaching's undoing. I actually felt we executed defensively very well in the 1st half. The problem is too often in the 2nd half we struggle because the other team makes better adjustments. And again, in college you need both good coaching and good recruiting, albeit, I would rather have a really good coach with 2/3 star recruits than the converse (which is what we have)

I don't think MIKE is wrong. This team plays terrible basketball and it isn't getting better. Your reply to him is out of bounds, who are you to issue insults to anyone.
If you like the way this team plays good for you but, many of us don't .
 
I wish someone could explain these lapses, these loss of focus moments we seem to have so often.
We've had a nice run, but we dug ourselves such a huge hole it's borderline irrelevant at this point.
I love the heart, but if it weren't for these inexplicable lapses it'd be a real ball game right now.
 
too bad we had a horrific six minutes at the start of the second half.
as soon as they got a big lead Creighton went back to playing sloppy ball like they did in the first half.
They were lucky to score the last four points they did make amidst turnovers and poor shot selection.
our hustle, when we are really leaving energy all over the floor, makes up for a lot of lousy shooting...
but not quite enough..sadly.

Serious question, when Lavin recruits, does he watch kids shoot FTs or any outside shots at all? I have a theory on his recruiting. I truly believe the reason he gets these top 100 recruits is because he purely recruits by their rankings while other coaches watch them. He then out recruits other coaches who don't value these players as much.
