Up Next: Creighton

This is not a bad position to be in at the half. Down by only 6. We usually play better in the second half.

Greene is just horrible on defense...he never ever gets over a pick..mr mismatch creator

D'Angelo forced a shot instead of hitting Hooper who was open.

And if he would have passed to hooper, this is what you would say..."Why pass the ball to someone who can't shoot.....take the shot DLo!!"

D'Angelo has forced all but one shot.

When your shot is not falling, you have to find other ways to help the team.

Passing to an open shooter is one of them.

What exactly is "Big East talent"?

Hooper hits perimeter shots.

Creighton has a ton of guys who hot perimeter shots.

Only difference is their coach knows how to draw plays up for them and how to hide them on defense.

Hey 98.... let me know the next time Hooper keeps up with his man on defense. Yeah, your right Hooper is a star; Tommy Amaker misused Hooper at Harvard.

GOOD CLOSE OUT TO HALF... Creighton is playing at a pace that will tire them out. Lavin needs to keep using the bench to give our guys a blow. Creighton is vulnerable defensively, if we could just hit some shots and rebound on the offensive board.

A team with St. John's athleticism and a few shooters could beats these guys home or away...Harrison needs to have a big game against a big time opponent...

so far we are playing out the gameplan we would write with tough defense driving turnovers...
everyone basically did a decent job on "d" but it's a strange game when you consider their
NBA to be leader is the whole offense, but we are close without our scorers showing up yet.
very unusual dynamic with our "offense"..

I feel fortunate to be down by a few.

We are in striking distance. That;s about all I could ask for going into halftime

absolutely.
considering our poor start, we could have collapsed when we fell back by ten.
this game is certainly in reach if we can shoot better. You have to assume they
can pass and dribble better in the second half, so we have to elevate our game as well.

I think our quickness will pay off in the second half .Mcdermott looks a bit winded . i don't think a one man team can beat us !!!!!!!!!!!!!.

To think I am passing up on the State of the Union for THIS.... Seriously, a decent half - especially with the two quick fouls on RJ.

Good D for the most part. Kept Wraggee under Wrappes. McDermott is only playing b/c he is the coach's son... nepotism at its worst.

Expect to see much much much more of D'Lo in the 2H.

And Sanchez, for goodness sake, you are a MAN. Be a presence under the basket.

At least Lav has finally figured out the starting 5.

Obekpa has played a terrific game so far. Made some shockingly great (and a little lucky) offensive plays and has locked down guys on D with far more agility than he.

How many Creighton players kept up with Rysheed as he got to the hoop? The answer is none.

Guess what.

They're the best team in the Big East right now.

Missed the first half. Who was on McDermott? It looks like they aren't doubling?

That McDermott kid will never put up points against the Big East :)

He only took 4 shots? I don't know how that is forcing it. He is 1 of 4, so how can you say his shot is not falling? On the other side, McDermott took 11 shots thus far....

Judging from the first half and seeing what Creighton has besides Doug, Hooper could play for the Blue Jays and bet he'd get some screens for shots. Why not us? And, Max isn't in there for defense so give that a rest. Pointer and GREENE play a lot of matador defense too.

Wragge has been WRAPPED up pretty good so far.. We need to keep him in check..
