This is a good discussion topic here. I believe most of us have had bad experiences with crude, foul, drunk, or unruly fans in arenas and stadiums, sometimes having younger family exposed to it.

Thankfully, overwhelmingly Johnny fans are well-behaved, even to opponents, which makes our games better family friendly experiences.

Bad experiences, though, stick with you as they can really ruin a game and your day.

In my observation over the years, it always seems to come down to alcohol consumption. I like to enjoy a couple of beers at a sporting event myself, but you have these legions of fans who seemingly cannot have a good time at a sporting event unless they show up drunk. We see it with the UConn fans. The drinking starts way earlier in the day, and by the time they arrive they are belligerent. At that point all manners go out the window, brings out the worst in people.

I'm all for having a good time, just wish people would find it in themselves to treat others with respect and be responsible.

Crazy how this isn't even about the fans that were pinning down Mookie's wrist a game earlier!
They should have been charged with assault. You can go after the ball, but you can't go after the player. Or at least you should be able to. They clearly went after Betts, especially the clown on the right who was grabbing his wrist and could have easily broken it.

They should have broken Teoscar Hernandez’s or Freddie Freeman’s wrists. 😉😊🤪🤣

I guess Pierce will not be joining Section 114 anytime soon at the Garden.

In this case I think it was that, plus that fact that he's a rather passionate Kamala supporter.

Worst part was the applause and pats on the back that these two mooks got from other fans when they were escorted out.

All part of the mob mentality. Degenerate behavior is tolerated and punishment is frowned upon.

They were kicked out and not allowed to attend any more games. Big deal. These two seem comfortable being loser a**holes. Like Monte said, an assault charge and some time in jail would have done those two good.

Yankees even told them they can come back for Game 5. It took MLB to step in to ban them. Total embarrassment.

Everything has already been said about these two guys, but the thing I can’t wrap around my head is that they thought they were allowed to this and were apparently waiting to do it. I’m paraphrasing, but the one guy said they “patrol our corner.”

Um…wut?
