UConn Fans Talking About Us

I would never write of a Calhoun coached team, but Ollie is not Calhoun and Napier is not Kemba. This team has a ceiling of a Sweet 16, and only with the right matchups and near perfect health IMO I really like their back court..Napier is a steady, experienced point that can shoot..but I think that many pundits would favor our backcourt over Uconn's come March if Jordan is anywhere near as good as his ranking suggests.

If they run into a team with a dominant big, they are done.

Like I said, we beat them with only Phil at PG, a freshman PF and C and no Sanchez either. Their back 3 of Napier, Boatright and Calhoun are real good. Their frontcourt is nowhere near the same level. In our backcourt we add Jordan and return Branch, Harrison and Greene. With Branch healthy, it gives us several options in the backcourt. Add Gift, Sanchez, Hooper to a roster that is a year stronger and more experienced and I don't think it is close.

Is Gift coming back or is he going to harvard?

Does a question get less dumb the more times its asked? There has never been any indication that Gift is interested in transfering to Harvard nor any indication that Amaker is interested in him. One stupid comment by some poster 3 months ago has taken on a life of its own. Too funny.

Tommy gets his own players. I do think I might have heard something about Penn. Or maybe it was Cal or Stanford? Some teams need a guy who can board and lift their GPA.
