UConn's got talent and really good athletes, but they're young. I think Hurley will mold them into a cohesive unit. Do think they're overranked due to prior years. His teams the last two years are on a different planet.

But I agree with you they will be good as the year goes on. Ball is going to be a very good player for them and Stewart a big plus off the bench. Teams will target Mahaney which is why Diarra may wind up playing more.

Unfortunately, there is nothing better for a back to back champion than to struggle early in the 3peat season. Refocuses them and causes people to doubt them which is exactly the motivation the players and coaches need.

This might partly make up for their 5th place finish 2 seasons ago. That team got on a March roll with a wicked favorable draw. Things even out. We should sweep them this year. Let's see what pitino can do.
