Trump Trivia

Yeah Austour, you've got some set of balls to call all Trump supporters idiots and racists when probably only 95 percent of them fit that description. Not sure what weird issue the other 5 percent have, though.

I'm not a trump supporter, but I am smart enough to vote for him over Hillary :) Which 95% of liberals are not :)

It took me a long time to realize that Trump the candidate is playing a cartoon of Trump. He's dumbed it down so far and played for attention, and has dominated the airwaves, running a campaign with virtually no tv ads. He says ridiculous things, which he knows are ridiculous, because it plays to the masses. In the process he destroyed just about every legitimate candidates chances.

Hillary is such an unlikable beast, with so much baggage, that the debates should be a rip. There is no limits to how he will characterize her sleaziness.

Umm. Wrong. Trump not only condones violence at his events, he incites violence at his events. He encourages his fans to assault protestors so, well, not the same thing at all.

He's only a master to salesman to idiots and racists, are you falling for it?

But he doesn't send his supporters to start fistfights at Hillary events :)

Did you do badly in the stock market the last eight years? I sure as hell know that I didn't. Not saying Obama had anything to do with it but certainly don't want to rock the boat with an unstable Trump presidency.

It doesn't matter what comes before or after, that's an oxymoronic statement.

That said it doesn't matter who you or I vote for, it matters who can win. He can't.

The market is propped up by artificially low interest rates. This was not Obama's doing. Trump is not my guy at all, probably the last or next to last candidate I would vote for, but certainly ahead of Hillary.

Join the long list of pundits who claimed Trump had no shot at the nomination.

My house went up in value by 70% too.

Listen I can understand supporting Jeb, Kasich, even Rubio. I understand the appeal of conservatism and the GOP, remember I have a Republican Senator for a father. But I don't understand support for Trump (he doesn't either). It's national suicide.

I am not a Trump supporter either, but I will vote for him or any GOP candidate over the garbage the Dems are throwing out there any day of the week. And if that makes me an idiot, racist, or whatever in the eyes of some far left leaning loons, I don't give a FF.

Actually I would never vote for Trump in the General election except against Hillary. Maybe she will get indicted and the world will go back on axis.

PS he'll get killed in actual one on one debates where he'll have to actually say something of substance, explain his plans and positions and appeal to more than that lowest common denominator 20% that is his present supporting base.

Except when they get to the question, "What have you accomplished?"

He made himself rich by screwing his creditors, his employees and his partners. Yes, he's the American dream. You just better hope that that question doesn't keep going to "... that would indicate the presence of any of the necessary skills or knowledge required to be the President of the United States."

Can't believe this thread lasted five pages before "sheeple" was used.

A new record for discourse m'boys!

Very easy to understand Trump's support - oversimplifying a bit for brevity, both parties in Washington long ago turned their backs on the working middle class and left a void Trump has exploited. Who supports Clinton, elitist leftists and the poor who continue to be conned by the Democratic Party. The Republicans are just as bad, they just run a different con. Trump offers a choice from the status quo, albeit an undesirable and risky one from where I sit. The potential choice between he and Clinton is just a nightmare.

It took a few years but I finally totally agree with you something, and that's probably nothing either of us are happy with.

My favorite was/is Kasich and I would have been fine with Rubio and I'd rather chew off my arm and shove it up Norm Roberts Butt before I would ever vote for Cruz. That being said I will have no problem voting for Trump vs Hillary

And I was the one who hated GWB from his very first debate against Gore and voted for Kerry as well documented in our old R&P forum.

I've been angry at the republican part for 16 years and if Trump completely destroys the republican party ( by winning or by not winning ) so be it. I think he will be a lot more moderate than what people think. I'm not even going to debate his ideas yet and I don't even agree with some of them already ( and I am probably one of the biggest proponents of free trade here ) and I don't agree with the way he acts sometimes but I don't think there is any chance in hell that he would be worse than GWB and I think if anyone can change the republican party from the outside then why couldn't it be him because in order to do that you will need a big personality

I think a lot of what he says he says to make headlines but also in one of the debates when he talked about how he negotiates you ask for the moon and then you find common ground I think he will do that a lot. Heck he was the only one that said planned parenthood does some good things which how many others would have the balls to say that

I'm tired of Washington in general and tired of most politicians. I never thought Trump could win the nomination so who knows how far he can go now if he goes against Hillary. Anything is possible

Oversimplification. He also made his name a brand synonymous with luxury. He also got rich without shady stock deals (you probably don't remember Hillary made a bundle from Stratton Oakmont), using political influence in a shady real estate deal (whitewater), and getting rich off a private foundation that is used as a piggybank (Clinton foundation). He doesn't peddle influence by giving 7 figure speeches to Wall Street elites, or Chinese or Saudi companies wanting to do business in the US. He won't be terrified (as Hillary was photographed) simply watching Navy Seals take out Bin Laden, won't use a private email server to conduct highly classified government business and then try to wipe the server clean. He won't claim that he was in war torn Croatia dodging bullets when video shows him smiling as he exits the airport on a very calm day.

Say whatever you want, but America is sick and tired of the Clintons. Willie may have been slick, but Hillary is just a power hungry hated woman. She is pandering left for the black vote, pandering to the under 30 vote, and if while Bill was a moderate to get things done with a Republican Congress, Hillary will do or say just about anything to get power. Including sticking with a sexual predator of a husband.

I get the distrust and hate of Hilary, especially from a bunch of old white men, which is why I'm glad the GOP is down to unelectable candidates. She was the most vulnerable presumptive frontrunner one could ever imagine.

I used to be a Democrat and used to be white. I suspect if Trump is elected, you will be a lot happier than I will be because he leans a lot further left than anyone suspects.

True, but I also think he's dangerously crazy and egomaniacal. So we'll have planned parenthood and social security funded but I don't like the idea of his finger on the button. Then again, I don't trust Cruz's god to do the right thing in that situation either.

PS everyone used to be a Democrat, I just never grew up.

My favorite is Kasich also , I have a hard time pulling the trigger for Trump. But Hillary is a liar ,probably should be in jail. It will probably come down to Hillary vs. Trump and I probably would vote for Trump. All these polititions are lyers it's hard to believe What they say. Kasich is probably the most honest of them all. Very unusual election.
