I get him transferring, I don't get him transferring until the end of the season. Not like he could play second semester next year at this point.
He was spot on with ponds playing.
He was dead wrong about Quinnerly transferring.

I have no idea if he will transfer have not heard anything, But if he is not happy my guess is he finishes the semester at SJU on scholarship to keep his academic good standing but is essentially no longer apart of the team..

What’s wrong with these kids today? If this is true that means he is simply giving up and leaving his team in the lurch for no apparent benefit.

With Mack, Wright, an improved Williams, and some legit size allowing maybe Figgy and maybe a returning Simon to play some G if he wants a lot of PT a transfer down a level may be of mutual benefit to both he and ST J's and there is nothing wrong with that.

I get and agree with 8 but basically playing 6 is crazy and why Mullin is having problems keeping 7th and 8th men happy.

In the middle of the season this year??? It’s second semester so quitting now does not allow him to play any earlier. If true, it’s simply quitting. Kid is getting playing time too.

I still don’t understand why Dixon transferred. Kid was our sixth man and only bench scorer. Ponds is gone next year and Mack is an unproven commodity with plenty of question marks. No reason to think Dixon wouldn’t have gotten plenty of playing time this year and an opportunity for even more next year.

When you go after unhappy campers who think more of themselves than their previous coaches thought of them and they bail out, there is no reason not to think they wouldn't do it again.
As for Trimble, he was a fall back after losing a targeted recruit, as usual, and was a wasted scholarship.
Player management under these amateurs is worst in program history. Makes the Lavin years look stable.

There's 3 major issues with transfers:

1. As Class of 72 said above, they were unhappy campers once and could be again
2. They all have less eligibility (anywhere from 1-3.5 years)
3. They take up scholarships by sitting out for a year on the bench

Look, some of our transfers are great players and I'm happy they're on the team, but we have too many of them. There's a reason nobody else has the Transfer U strategy that we do.

I don't think he is an integral part of next year's team.

WTF...Transfer U is where it's at dude...lol
Keep him happy until Duke game. He might be our best option to guard Zion.
Trimble can't guard anyone with quick feet. Marcellus has a better shot as a football player.
