For those who went to public school #2 for me and 3 and 6 for my kids. We have four generations of Bronx public high schools.

Great school. One of the best not only in the state, but in the country.

Surprised Chaminade is so far down the list. That's almost ridiculous, though I have no love for Chami. The success their grads have rivals Regis, which without question is number one. Nice to see Xavier so high. SHA in Hempstead should be above Mary Louis and I'd be certain academic qualifications of their students higher than Mary Louis.

Marymount is a great school but very expensive.

To me, bottom line is that for HS, a school has to be right for a kid. My son thrived at Xavier, and I don't think he would have at Chami (his 2nd choice).

Often these rankings have objective criteria but the criteria itself is subjective, as is US World News for colleges.
