Hoping all the current players have the best year of their lives. Not for the fans, but for themselves. For going to St. Johns and representing the school, city, and state. This is a basketball hungry city and this program is a sleeping giant. Hoping to see a hungry and gritty team on the floor this year. Good luck team!

And yes, as a fan I feel like I have been knocked down after yesterday. Makes me appreciate all the players we have even more!

Lol. Was at that game almost 4 years ago, love it... But got anything in between? No. And that's my point. We need to do a better job filling the garden with *SJU* fans.

D'Lo is just the man. How could you not root for him. He deserves some type of championship, nothing but hustle and heart every single time he steps on the court.

Right, but in those four years, which team was good enough and playing well enough to warrant New Yorkers attention when they are in a city with tons of thing to do? You could really only argue last year, but the way we started conference play last year probably turned a lot of people off. We are ranked now, we have good opponents coming up at the garden, the Knicks suck big time, so I expect crowds to get bigger and bigger as the season progresses.
 
I just watched the Fordham game on TV and it was more enjoyable than being at MSG Sun. This team is playing great TEAM basketball. The ball movement is predicated on getting a better shot rather than simply moving around the perimeter. Harrison is penetrating and getting to the foul line or taking twelve foot shots. OB has improved his rebounding and offensive game. Jordan is looking more like the player we hoped he would be and Pointer's play has improved dramaticly and Greene's shot selection has improved like all the others because of the ball movement
Maybe I drank the SJU kool aid but at times this team reminded me of the Red Holtzman Knicks. Forget about the minutes given to Jones or Amir and enjoy.
