Tiny Morton Continues to Stock Seton Hall

I don't think we had been recruiting Jackson-Cartwright nor Tadric Jackson for quite some time either. Whether there was still an offer or not, I have no idea?

Fox Sports Scout.com matches information presented by Rivals that St. John's offered Jackson- Cartwright.

Do you believe everything you read?

Yeah, I believe we offered those two even before we landed Rysheed. The info is severely dated.

Don't get me wrong. I would have liked to see us land a really good player or two in this 2014 class. I don't think we need a big haul, but one or two real good guys would help blunt the transition to 2015. I think our hopes to land impact guys certainly dwindles as the year ticks on.

I will defer to Lavin on that one though, as he has already said prior that he is aiming towards spring reruitment period for this class. I'm not sure why nor what he has in mind exactly, but I do think he knows what he's doing when it comes to recruiting. I do trust the staff has identified what their needs are. I'd have preferred one or two top 125 kids in the bag already as probably most of us would, but we'll see what happens by spring signing.

Like what the hall is doing. At least they are getting 2014 recruits

I don't think we really need 2014 recruits. We are returning our entire starting lineup, we are losing two forwards but are gaining one in Jones so I don't see the need for 2014 recruits. I personally like the fact that Lavin is locked in on the team and what we are doing this season instead of going after 2014 recruits.
Agree. Why bother?

None of the players we recruited in the last two years were going to come to SJU and wait so they could ease the transition into 2015. I have problems with Lavin but recruiting isn't one of them. And no, those problems don't remotely translate into wanting another coach.

Say what you want about Lavin, but imo you can't question his recruiting . It's what he is known for, It's like saying Rex Ryan isn't a good motivator.

I honestly cannot tell if this is sarcasm or not. The Rex part is what throws me off. Who does he motivate? The opposition?

Huh? All of the Jets would run thru a wall for him, he is a great motivator.

You can keep the wall. How about just motivating the O-Line to block the guy in front of him?

I don't think Santonio Holmes would walk through a puddle for him..

He said he would take a pay cut to stay here, I guess he was lying. Who really cares anyhow I was just pointing out that I felt Lavin was a good recruiter.

They have pretty good O- Lineman, just no QB, or skill guys.

I don't care if Tone Time offers to pay the Jets millions to stay on the team! Cut his arse!
