The Three Sit Out Tranfers Prognosis

“There are a lot of moving parts right now. So right now St. John's is very quiet recruiting until certain things can get resolved.”
Meaning; “players leaving/staying, the staff.”

Shoutout to anyone who knows what episode this is from. Imaginationland is a modern day satiric masterpiece

Somehow get the feeling not many of those moving parts are moving in our direction.

Granted this season was not much fun. I’m
Glad it’s over - however -
such an excess of negativity about next years’
prospects
When in reality who can predict
In 1992-3 Brian Mahoney ‘ s first season there was gloom and doom predictions - until David Cain, Lamont Middleton and others rose to the occasion -
19-11 record
12-6 and second place in BE
if I recall correctly (actually I cheated and googled it)
Can we wait until next year to decide what next year will bring?
Some years are worse than anticipated (2018-19) whereas some are better.l (1992-3).
Personally I’m
looking forward to how Mack and other newcomers play, who stays and what the new team and team chemistry brings.
All the best.

Sick of transfers honestly. They are quick plugs to be the final missing piece, not 3/4 of the team. I was watching the UCF game and not sure if this guy was a transfer or a HS recruit...assume the latter because that's what normal programs get. Anyway, he was a big guard about 6'4 and was playing like a 5 star player. I looked him up and he was a 3 star lightly recruited. We see tons of improvement with 3 star players who essentially become 4-5 star level by the time they're upperclassmen. I have not seen significant improvement consistently under Lavin or Mullin.

If you're talking about Aubrey Dawkins (a lightly recruited 3 star guard that played amazing against duke), he is Johnny Dawkins son. He coaches UCF and Aubrey transferred there from UMich.

They said he was 23 years old so doubt he has any eligibility left.

Chances are there will be holes in all their games like the last batch of transfers, but let’s hope for the best.
