Hearing about a mystery Euro PG right about now would be welcome.Years ago, when we lost out on another recruit, someone would bring up the mystery euro recruit, that never set foot on campus, never heard a name or even a team, but it carried us into the early summer. We're on page 178 and it's been quiet. We're about due for another mystery recruit story if we want this topic to reach 200 pages. Rick was in Europe a couple of weeks ago.....
Already relocatedPlease, enough with the mystery euro recruit from what 40 years ago?
They will get moved to a new thread “posts that exited the posts that exited the SJU portal thread, thread”So any fake euro or asian or African recruits we can list them on this thread or is that off topic ?
One guy is in this video and one guy isn't.![]()
Think it was Evaldas Zagalkis or something like that.
Jesus he's as old as half the posters hereThis was the guy - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evaldas_Žabas
NMNever seen the kid play but based on stats and competition, I’d rather have Sim. I recognize it’s the portal era but the good teams generally have a decent core of returnees. I’m not convinced Sellers or the Arizona State kid will be better than Sim. Let’s see who we bring in the next couple of weeks but I’m skeptical that we will be a top 10 team and that’s assuming Jackson is coming. Can’t even imagine what this Board will be like if we close the deal the deal with him.
It’s shiny new toy season for you. Remember when we signed Sim?They are going to be much better than Sim. Thats why Pitino recruiting them over Sim.
How is anyone doubting what Pitino is doing here?
He saw Sim up close for 2 years and it just wasnt good enough.
The standards are high here now. National championship high. Its not for every kid.
I don’t think the comment was too far off, Storr would have had a hard time playing in Pitino’ system. If you don’t move your feet and hustle you don’t play for Rick or very limited, offensively he oozes potential but have to play both sides of the ball for Rick. Posh, a dog on defense but horrible shooter and very limited offensively. Loved Posh his freshman year but once his injuries started to kick in he wasn’t the same kid. It’s shiny new toy season for you. Remember when we signed Sim?

For a lot of kids that’s gotta be the route. But Sim was top 40, not sure that highly ranked are going to think they can’t break through early. The strange thing is Wilcher would have done so much damage and put up wild stats if he played at the schools of some of the guys we are rumored with played.
Really makes you wonder if kids like Sim are better off going to a team in a lower level with guaranteed 30 minutes and hitting the portal as a soph averaging 20 and 6.
We should pay Sim more $ and keep him. I think he is really valuable to our continuity and is poised for a big year.Agree & I think you will see more of that.
I believe they tried, but no dice. I still think Texas may get him, since Hurley saw him at his best.We should pay Sim more $ and keep him. I think he is really valuable to our continuity and is poised for a big year.

And is he getting better looks than he got last year as the primary scorer in a lower level? He would have piled up some good scoring numbers for sure, but idk how efficient it would be.
Wait Cooper Flagg plays for Texas?I believe they tried, but no dice. I still think Texas may get him, since Hurley saw him at his best.
