I don't know when they all came out. He certainly belongs somewhere in the Pantheon of great NYC directors with Kazan, Cassavetes, Scorsese, Allen and many others I haven't omitted on purpose. I wouldn't describe any of them as "C list Celebrities".

Off the top of my head the topic matter alone is amazing. Compulsive sports gambling, dirty college basketball recruiting, starving jazz artists, interracial couples, police and black community relations, promiscuity. There's a lot there.

P.S. I'm very much looking forward to seeing our own Monte's performance in the Bushwick movie real soon.

Not to toot my own horn Carmine, but as a 2 time best director award winner, IMHO I'm worth at least a mention along with Kazan, Cassevetes, Scorcese, etc Oh and great meeting you and your lovely wife yesterday.

I use to feel the same way except Kourtney has joined the rest of the family (I don’t include the younger two who are Jenners and don’t really bother me). They would have to be at the top of my list as a whole along with Gwyneth Paltrow and Mickey Rourke.
