My suggestion, don't post anything that you wouldn't want printed on the front page of the NYT with your name attached to it.

Second suggestion, hit preview, read, and wait 5 seconds before hitting submit (or cancel).

Last suggestion, less is more. If the post goes over two long paragraphs, it is probably way too wordy. If you have separate points break them out into separate paragraphs, this makes it much easier on the eyeballs.

Logen, come back, forgive and forget. Same for Marillac.

It probably took you 30 minutes to write this, but would have only taken you 15 seconds to read my post and realize I never used the word "hate."

I wrote that you seem to "dislike" (NOT hate; big difference) Lavin on a personal level. You called the man lazy and accuse him routinely of collecting a salary while not caring about fulfilling his end of the bargain. How is that not personal? When I bring that up, you call me names and result to personal attacks like "you egotistical a-hole" "you are a sad person" "you were obviously raised as a spoiled rich kid" (false btw), "you are an idiot," and "you are the least intelligent person on this site."

Thank you for the lesson on the internet and Isis recruitment. It may have been the most positive thing you've posted in a year. You are a broken record. I realize the same can be said about me and my positive, hopeful posts, but isn't that the point of being a fan and, really, sports in general?

I, like many others, turn to sports and this site as a break from some of the tougher aspects of life. Your posts are well beyond critical. They are unnecessarily negative day after day.

It is a pretty impressive feat to actually have the ability to retire another poster. Take a bow Marillac.
I would have thought only Fun would be able to wield that kind of power.
I thought I retired Fordham, but he is back so I guess I have to keep trying. Any tips?
 
If someone would do a redmen.com poster bracket we can have Marillac as the # 1 seed in the "Lavin Region" vs 16 seed Logen who beat Class of 72 in the Play in Game played at Queens College where Norm went 24-84.

Why not get out of the sand box & let this go. You got the last word & the guy is not here to defend himself. Bit of a bully? Lastly this crap is getting boring. Why detract from the game as you have said about a thousand times? :)

I am enjoying one of the funnier threads in recent redmen.com history and a rare thread that hasn't turned into a Lavin bash.

On a less humorous level, the guy, in the last 24 hours, has insulted me numerous times and in a variety of ways and has stooped to personal attacks before making his grand exit hours before we play a game he never wanted us to make. He's been lowering himself to personal attacks on me for weeks and you haven't posted a word to him of that and even liked some of those posts. Please don't tell me to get out of the sandbox for responding.

While the long thread is rather self-serving I hope Logen can take solace in knowing we will win tonight. Also Marillac is kind of a dick... Just my opinion.

there are the Lavin apologists who will think everything he does is acceptable, the Lavin haters who will trash him when he's down and disappear when he's up and then those who are in the middle and want to see where this season goes with the tournament and recruiting. All I'll say is the former two are insufferable in every way imaginable saying the same crap day after day. We should just start a Fox News Redmen.com and a MSNBC Redmen.com where everyone can praise or bitch on how great/shitty Lavin is.

Another Main Man post goes unappreciated...

We are now sufficient off-topic that I'm closing the thread. I think the OP's point was sufficiently made, and those who wanted to respond have had a full and fair opportunity to do so.

I would remind all about the site rules, which include no baiting, no trolling, no cursing (including alternative keystrokes), proper honorifics for members of the clergy, no character attacks on players, coaches, or SJU personnel, etc.
