The 64 Most Annoying People In Sports Media

On first glance it seemed like it would be Skip and Stephen A. in a cake walk, but there are guys I apparently hate more. I actually had to go with Mark May, Bomani Jones, Cowherd, and Gottlieb.

There were also guys on the list I've never come close to disliking, so I'm shocked they were on there. But maybe I'm wrong. Are there people who actually dislike Mike Golic? Or Mike Wilbon? I love those guys.

You want to talk underseeded? How does Rome get a 16 seed. This was the first 1 v 16 upset I ever got right!

I said the exact same thing... I was thinking Rome had to be a 3 seed or higher. Not many worse in the industry then Jim Rome.

Francesca vs Barkley in Round Two! That should be a sweet 16 matchup. The winner gets a double cheeseburger.

Francesca should take it easily. Barkley at least can be amusing; Francesca is a humorless, pompous, arrogant, and thin-skinned know-it-all.

Well they did have to come up with 64 listings. I mean they ended up listing entire websites to fill the bracket.

Re Wilbon, he's become such a groupie/fluffer for his superstar friends and their friends recently that he has started getting on my nerves a bit. The whole celebrity thing has changed him a bit. He still can 't beat out the biggies in this bracket but I can see some valid reasons to find him annoying or dislike him. God I was obsessed with PTI when it first came on. And Tony's still Tony. Plus he's a LI boy so . . .

I'm also surprised that Craig Carton and Boomer Esiason are not included, since their show is simulcast nationally.
I absolutely can't listen to them. Carton has always been a no talent hack, and Boomer has gone into the toilet with him.

Can't stand the crass, sophomoric Carton as well, but his Suzyn Waldman impression is pretty funny..

Michael Kay...He's got to be on this list?? Did I miss it?

I think people hate Kay because they hate the Yankees. He is rather bland and nondescript. What is there to hate?
The size of his head. Dude has a gigantic head. I guarantee that he has never worn a hat!

If anyone here hates Tony, I'd like to point out that I saw him defend St. John's once on PTI. Someone wrote in asking if St. John's is the UCLA of mediocrity. Tony started his retort with "This person is an idiot."

Probably meant to mention St John's and UCLA in the same sentence is idiotic.

Hate Carton. He definitely shouldn't be in the NIT and should be in the big tourney of most annoying

Agree. He's such a low life. And it's a shame to see Boomer sink to his level so often. I'm not a big fan of Phil Mushnick of the NY Post, but I do agree with him when he comments on what Boomer says on Boomer's NFL pre game shows. Mushnick often asks, "Which Boomer is speaking? Sunday Boomer or weekday Boomer?" There is a huge difference between the two.

Joe Garagiola, one of my favorite all time broadcasters has died at age 90.

RIP Joe

He came to a fork in the road and he took it.
Yogi has his buddy with him. RIP.

Joe and Yogi - Italian American sons of St, Louis, on the famous hill, both catchers. The Cards signed Garagiola, and sent Berra packing, telling him he would never make it. Cards lost twice in that era to the Yankees. Mantle, from Oklahoma, badly wanted to play for St. Louis, and when the Cardinals signed shortstop Dick Groat, the Yankee scouts told Mantle that the Cards would have no use for him. Yanks ended up with two of the greatest players in history.

Garagiola, one of the most colorful and warmest announcers in history. It's getting so that there are many more great announcers up there than down here. R.I.P,

UCLA'S Walton is the award winner of the Peter Principle Award for someone who should have stuck to basketball playing. I won't listen to him, ever. Every time he opens his mouth , I shudder. He never misses a chance to relate the action at hand to something about himself.
I like the lady who does the Yankees. She gets a little annoying at times but she knows more about baseball than most guys ; she's a real "teacher" and I have a thing for Bronxites.
