Thank you seniors

Great to watch you guys the last 4 years, wish all of you nothing but success in the future. I can say each of you guys made me proud to be a St. Johns fan again. Well done.

Harrison Will go down as one of the all time SJU greats. Couldn't stand him when he first came here but to me, more impressive than his on the court accolades was how he grew as a young man off the court and overcame his issues and evolved into the face of St John's basketball that made every single fan proud.

I think 20'years from now we will be talking about Pointers improvement and how he went from marginal player to an All Big East player. IMO the most improved player over one year in SJU history.

Feel for the kids that they only played in one ncaa game in their careers. Watching Harrison walk off the court after fouling out last night I felt for that kid. This class Should have had three bids. The talent was there.

I look forward to watching your basketball careers as you play in professional leagues. And cheering you in your future visits to SJU games.
Congratulations on your degrees and your legacy of intensity and passion and Redman pride.

Thank you seniors. What more can I say that has not already been said about your hard work, efforts and heart. Best wishes for much success in everything you do.

Thanks for a fun ride! I especially appreciate the Syracuse victory!

I agree. It was fun following these guys from their freshmen year when they played a ridiculous amount of minutes. They had many good wins with the sweetest being the one up in Cuse. Cuse made a mockery of our program during our down years

This group of seniors redeemed the program. We'll move forward and look back and appreciate them for it

Thank you seniors for giving it your all and giving everyone a great ride. I'm glad they got to experience the Tourney and even better, they have their degrees. I'm certain all will do well.

This was the first group that chose US to come play for US after the Jarvis Debacle and the Norm error.

We might not have won post season but these seniors are winners.

Phil took so much abuse from some fans but he endured and always gave it his all.

Branch was hurt sometimes but I enjoyed watching him play and some of his passes were a beauty to watch.

Dom played a defensive game that I've never seen played for someone his size and he never got tired

And lastly D'LO- Kid came here with fire and attitude. Personally I liked it but obviously there were internal things inside him that needed to be changed because he was heading down the wrong path and that might have led to not such good things in life. Lavin kicked him off the team and he still didn't quit on us. He busted his ass off the court to change his life like he busted his ass on the court for us.

I've thought about this a lot ( I became a fan in 87 so I didn't have the Mullin years like a lot of the fans here ). I went to school with Sealy, loved Artest and especially Bootsy,Hatten and Hardy.

But D'LO is now my favorite player ever at SJU. He is a winner in my mind on the court and he will be a winner off the court for the rest of his life. I'm so glad Beast of the East sat next to his grandparents last night and told them how much we think of him

This might not have been my favorite St Johns team ever result wise but I will never forget the day each of these kids chose OUR school and I truly wish these seniors nothing but the best in their lives and their futures

What he said...

It has been a treat to watch this group grow on and off the court. Easy to root for each of them.

This will go down as my second favorite Johnnie team in my lifetime..second only to Mullins final 4 team. What these kids went through and sacrificed to play together is amazing. Dlo going through anger issues, and coming back and sticking with the team says allot about his character. Greene watching him mature, and my favorite Dom Pointer willing to red shirt this year for the team, and then showing so much improvement is amazing. The way these kids mentored and helped Sheed grow through the season was great to see. The unselfishness they played with on the court was great. They played way above where they should of been. With no true bigs on this team, and DLo having to play the 4 at times, and Greene playing the 3 all out of position, I didn't hear them complain. God bless these young men and I wish them nothing but the best.. Thanks Coach Lavin

just wanted to thank D'angelo and Sir'dom for representing st johns the way they did. i have really enjoyed their passion and play for our basketball team for the last 4 years. they are two of the very best to ever play for us. you will be missed greatly.

Also this years win in Syracuse was sweet was there so good to se you guys get one there. Made me proud to support you . You guys deserved so much more !

Bittersweet to read everyone's comments. Whatever else we might disagree on, I think we're all on the same page when it comes to recognizing and appreciating how hard these kids played, how they laid their hearts out on the court for St. John's, how special it was for them to come from all over the country to represent our school at a time when its relevance was at its nadir, how many great memories they gave us, and how well they represented the university. The only regret is that they didn't get to end their careers on a higher note.

It says a lot about the essence of this team that there were very few fans who left the game on Friday feeling angry or let down by this team. They were undermanned and undersized, but didn't back down for a second. I've been through a lot of disappointing losses over the years, too many to recollect here, but this wasn't one of them. This game calls to mind the great effort vs. eventual NCAA champion Indiana in the 1975 Holiday Festival. At the end of that game the fans saluted the Johnnies, and on Friday, despite a disappointing loss, SJU fans knew it was the end, and with a ton of class cheered these guys one last time.

Branch, Harrison, Greene, Pointer - really cannot say anything that hasn't been said already EXCEPT I believe this is the first group of seniors where each of them improved considerably during their time here. They wore the uniform proudly, and in the process became New Yorkers, irrevocably in their hearts and ours.

In the stands on Friday, there were a bunch of former Johnnies, who bantered warmly with fans and former classmates, took photos, and were gracious. They were clearly one of us, and enjoyed being there. Now this group of guys will earn their degrees, and some day will sit in the stands with us to cheer other future Johnnies on. They became one of us. There have been better Johnny teams, but none that represented us better. Thank you all.

Great to hear. And thanks to you and all the other fans who were there to honor them and let them know how much they were -- make that, are! -- appreciated.
