Make no mistake , someone will benefit from 2 years of Wilcher if he does portal out of Queens .

I disagree. Sim was limited in part bc he consistently got into foul trouble

You clearly misinterpret counselor! Inferring that his Greek club may like him back! He is a very cerebral player. He is committed to coach Pitino....not St.. John's. He is on LOAN to St. John's from his Greek club.
It's not the same as an NIL situation where agents are negotiating with other schools.
No one is driving anyone away other than some guys quoting trolls from the internet.

I would be devastated if Wilcher left. He has two years in the system and imo a lot of talent. I am going to wait and see what happens. Unless I missed something as of appx 5pm on Thursday we have

Wilcher

Now drop Wilcher off this list and I am not sure that group could even make the tournament.

It is a moot point because if Sim leaves, this above (unfinished) roster will not be what we have going into November.
 
It is interesting that while Wilcher has yet to recommit to SJU, Zuby announced his return 3 weeks ago. Of all the returning players, those 2 are the only ones who logged heavy minutes this season -Zuby 31 mins per game, Wilcher 25 mins. Is Wilcher being recruited over? Are other programs throwing buckets of money at him that we aren't? Something is happening there, the silence is deafening.

Maybe he thinks it's so ridiculous that anyone would think he isn't coming back that he never felt the need to explicitly announce it?

Why would teams be throwing “buckets of $” at him? If he leaves it may have to do with the Sanon, Sellers and hopefully Jackson arrivals. Let’s see what happens.

Did you read the CBS article about crazy NILs being thrown at mid-major players? Wilcher logged 25 mins per game for the Big East champions. He was a frequent starter. That's a very enticing pitch.

Sim said it on the Vice doc that teams have reached out to him last year and this year. So I'm sure that's the case.

They check stats too, but whatever. Let’s see how this plays out. Who knows if they are trying to work something out to keep him here.
