Amen, best sermon of the day!Can we stop trying to drive out players who committed to the school and are here?
Not really consistent with the purpose of this forum.
That's what the Boneyard is for.

I disagree. Sim was limited in part bc he consistently got into foul troubleThe only other thing I can say is that Pitino invested 2 full years with Wilcher and I think , heveas on the verge of busting through to another level.
To me , he has a great deal of talent that could emerge next season .
To those detractors of Wilcher , he was never part of the pecking order of the offense .
It was RJ, Zuby , KR , Scott and then , Sim.
It’s hard to accumulate stats , if you aren’t in a featured role .
He did , along with Scott , get into foul trouble frequently and that also curtailed his numbers .
Another Summer with RP would improve his weaknesses measurably .
I thought Pitino was trying to groom him for play as the PG last season when he backed up Jenkins on occasion . But , it appears that was abandoned .
To me , Sim is a SG , not a PG
Make no mistake , someone will benefit from 2 years of Wilcher if he does portal out of Queens .
You clearly misinterpret counselor! Inferring that his Greek club may like him back! He is a very cerebral player. He is committed to coach Pitino....not St.. John's. He is on LOAN to St. John's from his Greek club. Can we stop trying to drive out players who committed to the school and are here?

100% agree and so do a lot of people who were with me at the game.
MODS, I KNOW THIS IS THE WRONG THREAD, BUT I HAD TO CHIME IN ON AYO AND ARKANSAS, IT STILL STICKS IN MY CRAW.
Fwiw , that was a question I asked myself , why not Ayo, he was playing well at the end of the year.100% agree and so do a lot of people who were with me at the game.

Sim has not even declared yet and everyone is pointing out his faults!I disagree. Sim was limited in part bc he consistently got into foul trouble
Agreed. I hope Sim reads my posts. I have every confidence in him. As a player, person and spokesperson and example for STJs.Sim has not even declared yet and everyone is pointing out his faults!
To quote LMF.....that's driving out a player who isn't even in the portal.
It is a moot point because if Sim leaves, this above (unfinished) roster will not be what we have going into November.I would be devastated if Wilcher left. He has two years in the system and imo a lot of talent. I am going to wait and see what happens. Unless I missed something as of appx 5pm on Thursday we have
Zuby
Hopkins
Sanon
Wilcher
Sellers
Vince
Prey
Lefty
Ayo
Now drop Wilcher off this list and I am not sure that group could even make the tournament.
Maybe he thinks it's so ridiculous that anyone would think he isn't coming back that he never felt the need to explicitly announce it?It is interesting that while Wilcher has yet to recommit to SJU, Zuby announced his return 3 weeks ago. Of all the returning players, those 2 are the only ones who logged heavy minutes this season -Zuby 31 mins per game, Wilcher 25 mins. Is Wilcher being recruited over? Are other programs throwing buckets of money at him that we aren't? Something is happening there, the silence is deafening.
Why would teams be throwing “buckets of $” at him? If he leaves it may have to do with the Sanon, Sellers and hopefully Jackson arrivals. Zuby signed a new deal reflecting his fabulous season. Apples and orangesAnd yet Zuby felt the need to make an explicit announcement.
Are all kids the same? And yet Zuby felt the need to make an explicit announcement.
Yeah because he's the centerpiece of this team and its important to reassure potential recruits he'll be there. Probably preseason BE DPOYAnd yet Zuby felt the need to make an explicit announcement.
New trend is guys announce when they are staying as loony as that may be.And yet Zuby felt the need to make an explicit announcement.
Did you read the CBS article about crazy NILs being thrown at mid-major players? Wilcher logged 25 mins per game for the Big East champions. He was a frequent starter. That's a very enticing pitch. Why would teams be throwing “buckets of $” at him? If he leaves it may have to do with the Sanon, Sellers and hopefully Jackson arrivals. Let’s see what happens.
Sim said it on the Vice doc that teams have reached out to him last year and this year. So I'm sure that's the case.Did you read the CBS article about crazy NILs being thrown at mid-major players? They check stats too, but whatever. Let’s see how this plays out. Who knows if they are trying to work something out to keep him here.Did you read the CBS article about crazy NILs being thrown at mid-major players?
