DJ didn't have a great game but Boeheim's Army in the final for the first time. TBT success just seems to follow DJ and Dandre Kane around.

As much as I want DJ to get the $$$$$$$, I just can't get past the shots of all the cuse fans in the seats.

I loved watching Tyrese Rice at BC, and Kane at Iowa state too but you’re right, watching them jump on and cheer for those guys as their own kinda sucked. Hope DJ gets paid tho.

Look at what they have become. Hope those football checks don’t bounce. Wow.

TBT’s been around for a few years. Many teams are comprised of alums from a single school (or conference). The first few years were dominated by “Overseas Elite”, featuring our own DJ Kennedy.

Seals it? They were up by 24 points. 🤣
TBT has unique rules.

TBT was one of the early adopters of the Elam Ending.

They add eight points to the leading team's score to set the target score. So if the score is 88-80 at the first dead ball with under 4 minutes left in the game, they will set the target score at 96. The first team to reach the target score wins.

Didn’t think of that. Actually love Elam ending prevents intentional fouling and ridiculous long last few minutes of games.

Maybe I am just a traditionalist, but I don't like adding gimmicks to the game. Some are always trying to reinvent the wheel.

As a fellow “Get off my lawn-er”, I agree.

But we are in a world where sports are overrun by statistics so confusing that one needs to have a math degree from MIT to comprehend.

This screams to me that someone who was the least popular and most uncool person throughout much of their life came up with what they think is the next popular and cool way to reinvent a sport.

We tossed our local stickball “stats nerd” in the Bronx River back in the day.
