We either press them and speed it up to put some pressure on the Freshman Ennis or go to a Box and 1 defensively in the half court with Branch and Jordan 1 on 1 on Ennis constantly pressuring the ball.

I, mentioned a bit earlier that I would think about pressing after made shots.

Hopefully, that is the case in the 2nd half. I'd also mix up the defense a bit, once we're in the half court.
 
1/2 over no offense no dribble driving it we just hit 3 3s we are in this by 1/2 Can not see that we improved from last yr on our deep shooting For a big game Harrisson should have carried us If we can not improve our outside shooting we could lose by 25
 
The fact that Lavin hasn't switched to a zone shows how inept he is. All their points have been layups and what I thought was a bank 3. Our coach is a joke

Our defense has not been that bad. They are playing fairly well I thought.

Yep. The difference is shooting. They're making theirs; we're missing ours...

They are 1-5 and we are 0-9. Pretty poor shooting by both teams thus far.

Not talking threes; just shooting in general. We're 33%; they're 55%. We shoot 50 percent and it's a two-point game...
 
Have to cut this deifict in half by the 10 minute mark. Greene can NOT cover Ennis and Jordan needs to guard him in the second half. We need to hit at least 5 threes in the second half to have a chance at this game. Problem is that is very hard for this team to do.

I'd pass on the Box and 1.

I'd just mix it up a bit on defense (ie, pressing and a bit of zone/zone press). Like you stated, put some pressure on Ennis in the backcourt. Maybe, he'll give it up to others who aren't comfortable bringing the ball up the floor. Or, just make him and his teammates take their time getting the ball into the frontcourt, and giving them minimal time to get into their offense.
 
We don't shoot a high percentage because we don't get good shots. our zone offense is poor to say the least... i dont know whether to blame coaching, schemes, execution, or just players who dont have the skills necessary to succeed against a good zone. It's frustating; seems like we always look this way against syracuse
 
No Branch in the second half, he is not good against zones, sure he can beat people off the dribble when opposing teams are playing man to man. But with this zone, Branch is useless, and hes not good at defense
 
We really need to start driving to the hoop more. We are obviously a bad shooting team and their big Coleman has 3 fouls already. Hopefully that's the adjustment at half.

I agree. The rim, the the foul line, the rim the foul line the rim then press. If Dlo gets open look fine. Crash the boards off misses. Gotta get a little wild. We came out timid in a big spot. Gotta get wild to get it going.

Just proves my point that it's not our offense. If you get stops you create better chances at the other end. They've been shredding us getting layups all game. It's all about our crummy D and a coach too dumb to switch to zone
 
Greene and Harrison having weak games shooting and their % is awful. What hasn't been addressed on this team by Lavin is that you are lacking even a mediocre 3 pt shooter..

We'll never know about Max and Marco because its' apparent Steve has no confidence in them.. I wisk Lavin would have Greene on as short a leash as he has Jordan, Hooper.

Branch had 2-3 good passes. Hes better than Phil
 
need greene on the bench... not shooting open 3's to miss. he's momentum buster.. the wrong way!

Raft says he needs to put it on the deck and attack or pass the ball. Thats why raft is the best
