Not shocker

St Johns has suspended forward Ian Steere indefinitely for “failing to meet the standards expected from a member of our basketball program. We will not offer any additional comment on this matter.” – St. John’s Head Coach Mike Anderson. #sjubb

Ian Steere had not been playing much, if at all, of late. Was told it was work ethic related. Just doesn't bring it, do the right things, like other members of team. #sjubb

Lol

His 5 minutes spent with NC State should've been seen as a warning sign. Oh well.

He has played 17 minutes here so he is getting better.

Hell! It's not like he was contributing. He was numero uno on my list of transfers. I've long believed he was done after this season.

Well he got the benefit of the doubt coming in. Looked like a talented prospect. You can tell from the limited minutes that he wasn’t a “hustle” guy as he was jogging up and down the court. I’m sure we can count on Steere as one of the certain transfers at this point.

I think he was definitely gone after his second DNP. Maybe after the first if N.C. St. is any indication. Sad -- I thought he could have been pretty good here. He needs to go to a low major where he can be lazy and still put up numbers.

Well at least he used a scholly for 2 years.

It might be time for Ian to focus on completing a degree and end his basketball dreams.

Hopefully he'll be more successful in the corporate world or wherever his degree takes him.

I like that this staff had the b***s to suspend him and not just let him sit the bench. Seems like they held him to a standard. I like what i see on the court despite the record. I don't see a lather, rinse ,repeat. i think CM and SL would have let Steere just sit and left us wondering why he transferred after the season.

Another four-star beauty. Just keep recruiting kids who want to be here, want to earn a degree, play hard, and respond to fully invested coaches.

To be fair Lavin suspended our best player when we still had some sort of shot at the tournament, and it worked out great for all parties in the end.

Steere suspended. If a tree falls in a forest and there is no one around to hear it does it make a sound?
