Starting 5?
Who starts and first off bench?
I think Heron and LJ are the only two to be guaranteed starting spots, barring something unforeseen.

I think CMA will use the early season schedule to rotate, and experiment, with different lineups, and combinations. By conference play, we should have a better idea.

With Anderson's style, I expect all of the scholarship bench players to get a least a little bit of run, in every game.

Agree with that, although if Steere isn't a no-doubt starter that is not a good sign for the season. I expect he will be.

If I had to take a guess at the preferred Game 1 lineup it would be Williams, Wright, Heron, LJ, and Steere. With Roberts, Earlington, Rutherford, and Dunn (if eligible) getting plenty of minutes off the bench.

99% sure that we won't have Steere until the Albany game, due to midseason transfer rules, so I was not including him.

Great point.

Wright and Dixon in the backcourt.
Sima at center.
Ellison and Keita as forwards.

Those Matt A recruits just keep on keeping on.

McGriff
Herron
LJ
Steere
Roberts

Sears or Dunn(depending on who gets in foul trouble)

Earlington, Champ, Carraher and Rutherford to round out rotation unless Coach Anderson can get lucky with last ‘ship.

don't forget about Williams...have to think he's going to get quality minutes this year, definitely over McGriff. Question is where is he compared to Dunn & Rutherford.

OOOPS... my bad. Switch out Dunn with Williams and put him either in front or back of Sears depending on the situation.

I am very much looking forward to seeing Anderson coach but his track record shows who starts could not be more irrelevant. Much harder to discern but way more important is who finishes.

As Logen points out who starts is of questionable importance. There are a lot of kids we haven't seen play so guessing here, but I expect LJ, Heron. Williams, Steere, Rutherford, Dunn, Roberts & either/both of Sears or Earlington to get bulk of minutes.

ok devils advocates. how can steer be starting when he wont play for xfer reasons in the beginning

back to beer

Pretty sure mj that SJU is trying to get a waiver for Steere to play right away since he only played like 10 minutes in their first game of their season. Don’t think they got an answer yet so I think it’s still possible he can play right away. Maybe have him sit just the first game. Regardless don’t think they got a ruling yet on that situation. Unless someone heard something about it.
