Was at the game tonite, and I was wondering if Jones is in the dog house! Got very few minutes! His body language indicated it!

LIU scored at will inside when Jones was in for Obekpa in the first half. I think lack of defensive effort is why he rode the pines most of the game. Hope he picks it up next game. CO can't play every minute and Dom will not be able to play the 5 against bigger opponents.

Can we please understand that the first basket liu scored with jones in the game came when Jones slid over to help one of our perimeter defenders who got beat. Jones did his job to help, someone else didnt do their job of helping the helper.

I believe Jones must see more time with no other interior options. Please no "help is on the way" with ADR & Joey please. Jones is probably an adequate backup player at best, but with our depth problem, what other options are there. The small ball approach will be sorely tested facing the GT, Xavier, Minnesota, Gonzagas of the world. Despite his warts, give Jones some time. Kudos to Dom last night, but let's see how he fares against quality, smart, physical teams.

We really need to manufacture some depth by having Pointer and Greene off the bench every game and starting Jones. Not personally a fan thus far, but he'll never get better if he doesn't play a lot. Options are slim, so we need improvement and minutes badly out of him.

I was referring to the two times they dumped the ball down low to their big guy directly next to the basket. He was surrounded by Jones and I think Pointer and he scored with little resistance both times. Way too easy. If you're a bit over-matched you have to front the guy to deny the entry pass or use your strength to keep him from getting position that deep. Jones didn't seem prepared to do either, maybe because the guy he plays against in practice (Obekpa) doesn't really fight for offensive post position either.
