Stanton to Yankees

The Mets are an enigma and the Wilpons an embarrassment. I'm both a Yankee and a Mets fan--long story of my dad and me. I don't 'get' this current financial strain. Wish the hell they'd sell the team.

I am a Knick, Met, Rangers and Redskin fan. So the owners of my favorite teams are Wilpon, Dolan and Snyder.
And Wilpon is by far the worst.

Funny. I'm a 'total' NY fan. Got the NY on the jersey, I'm a fan. But damn, we've got a few clueless to woeful ownership 'teams', don't we?!!?

EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!!!!!!!!

Gardner-lf
Hicks-CF
Didi-SS
Stanton- DH
Sanchez-c
Bird-1b
Judge-RF
Headley-3b
Torreyes-2b

Not a Yankee fan but here would be my guess. Gardner has trade value and Ellsbury does not and even the Yankees have to pretend to have some kind of financial responsibility. Predict Gardner gets traded for a pitcher. These dream lineups never work out BTW. One of Stanton, Judge or Sanchez is going to get hurt.

Ellsbury DH
Judge LF-Stanton on top of everything else a very good RF
Stanton RF
Bird 1b-Predict he hits 40 if healthy
Sanchez C
Didi SS
Hicks CF
Headley 3B
Torres 2B
I think Didi is our best hitter, and he even had 27HRs, if Judges avg is good like in the first half of last year then I'd be ok with him at #2 in the line. Only reason I put him #7 is the K's he gets, plus I'd break up the righties with Bird at #6.

Still blaming Bernie Madoff?

And from news from the other side of the tracks.....
Rumor on radio is at $150 million the Mets might not be able to make payroll.
As absurd as that sounds it has happened to them before. They had to take a huge loan from MLB that they only recently paid back.

If people could get one free pass from God and prosecution and murder one person, mine would be Jeff Wilpon.

Mismanagement and selfishness are not enough to budge Robert Moses and Walter O'Malley from their places of honor on my list. And yes, I have reached the point of dotage where my fantasies are about killing dead people.

Major hole in the lineup - need to trade for Machado to play 3B. :)

Just put out #5 prospect Miguel Andujar @ 3b atleast until Gleyber Torres is healthy.
At 2nd you could put Torreyes, if you remember he was hitting 300 as a full time played in the beginning of the season before he platooned and his avh went down.

Our farm system remains intact following the Stanton acquisition. We should be able to position both 2nd (Torreyes) and 3rd (Andujar) both look to be MLB-ready. Let's add pitching depth and consistency. Trades or F/As.

Ummm
Sev, Tanaka, Monty, Gray, heard Yanks were trying to resign CC. If they don't then Justus Sheffield is a lefty.
With Adams still in the minors.

Strengths: Undoubtedly, the Yankees' system's biggest strength is its pitching. That's particularly true when it comes to hard-throwing righthanders. Six of their Top 10 are pitchers, and five of those are power righthanders. Four of those five touched 100 mph or better. And they're all behind Justus Sheffield, who touched 98 mph from the left side in the Arizona Fall League.
