I agree. The best marketing is winnng. I also think they should really give incentives to students to attend games. That will help fill the seats and they become alumni and maybe long term fans. Re, the Redmen name,is we associated that name w winning and the Redstorm w loosing. Syracuse dropped Orangemen and didn't miss a beat. Hopefully Mullin will turn things around so the Redstorm will be tantamount to winning. IMO Crimson Tide is just as bad as Redstorm. It hasn't hurt Alabamas branding in FB. I am not a fan of political correctness. But, as they say, you can't fight city hall.I think achieving even modest success like a string of NCAA tourney bids, shpuld precede a campaign like this.

The point isn't really how many tournies,but the development of a successful program first. Claiming you are NYC's team when you can't put 10,000 fans into msg gives programs like Syracuse who in most srasons can fill msg 2 or 3 times per season the audacity to claim bragging rights
