Now this would be really cool:

I've told anyone who will listen, which is pretty much nobody, that we should change our name to the St. John's Red. Then we could put Red Men on all our merchandise and no one could complain. Actually, I guess they could complain, but we'd hopefully just ignore it.

Ughh....

Great intention, halfway decent intro video, concept of the ball OK, but the font on the logo is awful and doesn't give off an edgy vibe the video is trying to convey.

It's like it's trying to give off a tiny hint of graffiti, while at same time not wanting to be too street.... Its like walmarts attempt to refresh and introduce the lower case wal-mart logo with the little sunburst at the end

Could have made some really good apparel...

I'm sure the lacrosse team, fencing, & track teams shown in video love the quasi basketball in the logo.

Why not just an artistic NYC skyline, vs. a soft looking basketball with paint brush stroke font ?

Agreed with all above. This is weak.

I had high expectations that UA would help us find a strong visual identity and some brand consistency. Not yet...

I think achieving even modest success like a string of NCAA tourney bids, shpuld precede a campaign like this.

A string of NCAA tourney bids?
At this point, I would be happy with one

I would settle for a string of poloponies.

Kranmars, I think you really mean to say that you'd settle for some mystery delicious appetizer ; )

I sent AD Goff a short, courteous note w/ my feedback that while appreciated, and well intentioned that I tought it missed the mark on making good apparel that I'd buy

his response

" We have had many positive responses to the video, but I welcome all opinions. Thanks for expressing yours and your continued support. All the best to you."

The point isn't really how many tournies, but the development of a successful program first. Claiming you are NYC's team when you can't put 10,000 fans into msg gives programs like Syracuse who in most srasons can fill msg 2 or 3 times per season the audacity to claim bragging rights

I think we should just change the name back to Redmen. It was only this politcially correct baloney that forced the change. The same political correctness that wants to take the Columbus statue down. We should just change the name back and tell the politicians they can go you no where
